My mama is now in hospital tested covid positive and also phemonia, ngayon po while listening bishop soc , alam ko hindi po pa babayaan ni lord mamaa ko po, kung kunin mn ni lord sana ako rin hindi ko mawala iwan ako ni mama, si mama ang iisang taong nagmamahal at naiintindahan ako😭🙏🙏 pls pray for my mama

Thank you, Bishop. I am currently in an isolation and tested positive for COVID 19. So many questions running around in my mind but I have already surrendered it all to the Lord. God is always good. Kapit lang. He will never leave us. His love is always inclusive. No matter how sinful we have become.. We just have to surrender to the Lord and know that He is a God of miracles.

I experienced stress, anxiety and depression these past weeks. I dont know how to move forward and my life shattered into pieces. But one day, As I woke up, God makes His way. Socrates Villegas, DD The gospel is familiar, the title is the Parable of the Sower. There is the sower, there is the seed, there is the ground. The parable of the sower was very significant and relevant for the first Christians who heard it from the mouth of the Lord Himself. But what does the parable of the sower mean for us in 2020, in the Philippines, in the midst of the pandemic, in the midst of the social problems that we are encountering as a nation? Even during our time now, this parable of the sower tells us something. Though this gospel was more than 2,000 years ago, still, it is revealing something to us, three words. The first word is inclusive, inclusive means for everything, for everybody. Inclusive is the opposite of exclusive. Inclusive means the sower went out to sow and he sowed all the seeds, the sower went out to sow and he sowed everywhere. I’ll say it again, all the seeds and all ground were planted with seeds, it is inclusive. The love of God for us is inclusive, it does not play favorites, it does not play prejudice. The love of God for us includes everybody, embraces everybody and accepts everybody. You may be stony, you may be thorny, you may be fertile, you may be shallow but the Lord’s grace is for everybody. Now, if the love of God is inclusive, the love of Christians for the Lord must be inclusive. Meaning to say, all Catholics must also be inclusive. We are not supposed to choose. During this covid, buffets are not allowed, right? Even the cafeterias are not allowed, aren’t they? You are not supposed to choose only what you like and you will pay only for what you have chosen. When the covid pandemic ends, cafeterias will again be allowed, buffet will also be allowed again, but for us Catholics, we are not supposed to choose what we like and ignore what we don’t like. Because our Catholic faith is one big whole, our Catholic faith is one big total whole. It is not enough that we say “I believe in God”, we must prove by our lives, by our actions that we believe in God. My dear brothers and sisters, we are very much Catholics while we are inside the cathedral. But when a catholic bishop or priest says that we must put decency and morality in the politics, businesses, culture, entertainment, do you really have to tell us to exclude ourselves and stop giving remarks? Meaning to say my dear brothers and sisters, in all our personality and well-being, we must indeed live the gospel. Why? If you are a Catholic and you are a politician, you are not exempted from the ten commandments, are you? If you are a Catholic and a businessman, are you exempted from the ten commandments? If you are a Catholic and you are an entertainer, you are a singer, you make people happy, will you be exempted from being a Catholic? Our Catholic faith is inclusive, it includes everybody, and we are Catholics not only in the church, we are Catholics 24/7. When we hold our money, we are Catholics. When we plan for the future, we are Catholics. When we talk, we are Catholics. When we buy, when we sell, we are Catholics. When we vote, we are Catholics because the Catholic faith is inclusive. Second, next to inclusive is stable, stability. The meaning of stability is reliability, never deserting. The meaning of stable, the sower, our God who sowed the seeds, did not neglect. He knows, he observes and nurtures it. Stability means, only in the Lord can the seed bear fruits. Stability means only in the Lord can we grow and it is the Lord who makes the seed grow, it is the Lord who makes the plants bloom, it is the Lord who makes the trees bear fruits. Stable, reliable, dependable because we know we will never be forsaken. God will never abandon us. We are going through a lot of difficulties, all of us. There are no rich nor poor at the present time, because we are all poor during these days. There are no powerful and helpless during these days, because all of us are groping, all of us are cautious, all of us are powerless, helpless with covid 19. But even if we see so many changes in our lives, even if we see the changes in mass schedule, the changes in restaurants schedule, the changes in transportation, the changes in the tollway, the changes at home, the changes in the market and the grocery, the changes with the drug store, change everywhere. But there is something that does not change, God’s love for us. If there are too many changes in our norms, we might all go insane. But we must trust that there is one thing that will never change. God is here, God is with us. And God never sleeps. In the midst of the many changes in our lives, which we could no longer cope up with, God is still with us, He is unchanging, never deserting. Because in the end, He is the only one we really can depend on. It is the stability, the dependability, the strength of the love of God. The love of God is inclusive, the love of God is stable and unchanging. Third, today the Lord says to us, the love of God is always abundant. God does not apportion, does not limit, does not measure. The greatest measure of love is to love without measure. And God has shown us that kind of love. The love that does not care whether I will lack or not, because the love only cares that the loved one is in abundance. We all suffer nowadays, goods are expensive, many jobs were lost, and many are suffering from frequent hunger. In this situation, the gospel is clear. God is a God of abundance and we will never be lacking if we trust in the Lord. Covid 19 has made us panicked. Even if we don’t need it, 4 months ago, we all went to the grocery, to the supermarket. Even if you wouldn’t need it, you bought it because you don’t know what will happen in the future. The culture of scarcity is not good for us because God will always provide. God will never forsake us no matter what happen. Politics will change, businesses will fail, money will go bankrupt, health will get worse, still, God will be there, unchanging, blessing us abundantly. The parable of the sower has a big lesson for us in the midst of the pandemic. The love of God is inclusive. It is for all and the Catholic men and women should embrace the Catholic faith. You cannot choose just what you like. There are easy, there are difficult, we must embrace both the easy and the difficult. For the Lord, I will do it for the Lord. The love of God is stable in the midst of the changes, God will never change in loving us. The love of God is abundant in the midst of our scarcity, in the midst of our misery. The love of God will be there, always providing. My dear brothers and sisters, just hold on, and don’t give up. God will never abandon us. God never sleeps, God will never relinquish us, He will never abandon us, no matter what happens.
