Check out what we discovered in a small neighborhood in the Fl Keys. It might be sacred ground from back in the day. A Kapok tree and a Cenote right next to each other. Might be a place that Indians held sacrificial rituals years ago, or maybe it's only just a cool location in paradise that a dog used to get lost underground for hours. Hope you enjoy, because I sure did.

There used to be a kapok tree in Palm harbor at a famous restaurant in fact I think it was called the kapok tree restaurant you could have a wedding receptions there and big parties but if I'm not mistaken they had a fire in the kapok tree burned

I worked down in Indiantown a few years ago,and seen one of these for the first time ever(I live in Georgia)it was near my campsite in pahokee fl.i share your fascination of it
