This is the kind of story that everyone needs to know about. Mr. Elmer put the lives of the tourist that he was guiding first before his own family. This just shows how he takes his job very seriously. This is something that not a lot of people would do in a situation like this. Big shout out to Kuya Elmer. I hope that everything goes well for him and I hope that this story goes out far and able to help him and his family after this crisis. Base on what's going on, Kuya Elmer may not have anything to go back to and I hope someone would be able to help him out after this is all said and done. Big kudos to you Kuya Elmer. I cried and feel sad when I saw animals thriving to live without their owners. Humans can has mindset to go on safe place but animals are helpless and can't spoke out.

There are volunteers, who went back to Taal Island, to save horses and other animals. The animals were grey, due to the ash, but a lot of them survived and are safe now.

Still goosebumps!! Best documentary sa bulkang Taal na makikita ng ating next generation.. Lalo na sa pamilya nila Denise who were there to witness how the eruption of Taal started from a little smoke.

It breaks my heart when you know that the animals (especially the horses) were actually left behind and to the families who were living in the island. I hope they have all survived and now fully recovered.

Share ko lang. Last January 12, 2020 when taal volcano erupted I was in Calamba, Laguna (Enchanted Kingdom) with my Japanese scholarship sponsors. And when i tried to take Extreme Tower ride i saw taal volcano and it was a nightmare because I saw a lot of smokes and it feels like it was erupted and i guess I was right. It was 12pm there when i took a ride. Thank God, we were safe left laguna to manila. And when i got the news I am in Manila where at my hometown.

What really makes this scary is that none of them are expecting Taal to erupt that very day. Think about it, you're just having a vacation to a seemingly quiet volcano than suddenly you see smoke from the crater, you know you better start running! But kudos to the brave horses and the tour guides for saving the tourists lives!

I was able to hold back tears during the dead horses scene but when they showed Mang Elmer being given a token of gratitude by the tourists whose lives he saved, I lost it 😭😭😭😭💔 The emotions all went to climax!

Nagpunta kami dito 2019 the day magstart yung pasukan. Back then, nasa alert level 1 na pala non. May mga konting usok na nalabas sa mga bato sa gilid ng trail. Sabi nila normal lang daw talaga may ganon. Ang exciting nung experience. tapos bungad ng 2020 pumutok. grabe!

this is so emotional to watch. im glad u survive the "certain death" eruption of the volcano. i just hope that the horses that saved them is not one of the dead horses. this is so nerve wracking, scary but exciting. this will be the most significant memories they will ever keep in their lives for sure. its good thaf they brought cameras with them to record the incident. im glad they made it. good job to the tour guide.
