I knew the day she finally confronted Kara about being Supergirl would be emotional, but this is beyond what I thought it would be. It actually made me cry

This episode was phenomenal! When Lena yelled “NO! I killed my brother for you, for our friends! Don’t you understand what you’ve done?” I was finally able to get a deeper understanding of her hurt. Kara keeps trying to defend herself and apologize, she’s not understanding how her lies affected Lena, she wasn’t trying to understand because she was too wrapped up in the possibility of Lena not wanting to be friends anymore, In the fortress scene Lena was clearly trying to get her to see how the betrayal had affected her. That scene was a necessary one, Kara needed to fully understand Lena’s side, and her pain. She can’t forgive Kara yet, because she can’t trust her to be telling the truth. This is truly a complicated situation. Unless the martian manhunter can somehow open Kara’s mind to Lena so she can see the depth of Kara’s sincerity and guilt then this is probably gonna take awhile to hash out. Also- to the people saying that, after this episode, they don’t see how Lena’s redemption is possible; are you serious? Lena explaining her side of the story and what she believes makes her somehow more “evil” than she was last ep? Lena’s No Harm project is based on good intentions, however misguided the project is that remains to be true. Once she realizes exactly how misguided it is then that’ll be easily fixed. Lena has been betrayed by literally everyone in her life besides her birth mother, and maybe Jack. She’s human! What do you expect her to do after all she’s been through? Not everyone’s like Supergirl. They can’t constantly choose good instead of evil after they’ve been through hell. Believe me though, I understand that when Kara starts crying we feel inclined to jump on “her side”, because when Kara starts crying it feels like the world is splitting, but you NEED to understand Lena. She reacts to experiences like any normal person whose been through a lot. I’m not saying Lena’s innocent, I mean she just left Kara alone in a box of kryptonite in the fortress of solitude, i’m saying that she’s human and should be treated as such. I’m not on Lena’s side and i’m not on Kara’s. Both of them are at fault, but I believe in both of them. I believe in Kara to understand, and I believe in Lena to be able to forgive. Lena is hurt, not evil. The lines between the two are getting blurrier but they’re definitely still there.

This was a good episode, especially the part with Kara and Lena. But overall I thought that they had crammed a bit too much into the same episode. The storyline with Kara and Lena became the most important one of this episode, which made the other storylines kind of fade away. Some things also seemed a bit rushed, like how quickly Malefic forgave J'onn; their reunion also kind of faded into the background a little because of the focus on Kara and Lena. While I love J'onn's father, Myr'nn, I thought that maybe J'onn should have been spending less time with him and more time with Malefic. The last time Myr'nn appeared in spirit form, he distinctly said that he was just a manifestation of J'onn's own memories and of J'onn's mind, so he couldn't provide him with any new information, he could only help him sift through what was already in his mind. But here, Myr'nn seemed to have new information to share after all, since he was able to tell J'onn that Malefic was not in the Phantom Zone but on the other side of National City. This seems like a continuity issue that doesn't fit in with the previous encounter with Myr'nn's spirit. There was also the storyline of Alex and Brainy going to the house that appeared to belong to the Leviathan. They made their investigative visit seem very important, but it was then suddenly dropped and we didn't get to see how they managed to leave the house after going underground with the seemingly magical elevator. The girl from the Leviathan was watching them and said to herself that her security system was working, which was why Alex and Brainy couldn't get the elevator to go to the right place. It would have made more sense for this supposedly all-powerful organization to cause some more trouble for the intruders. I even thought that maybe the elevator would disappear so that they would be stuck in that cave. But instead, we just suddenly got to see Alex back with Kelly, so presumably they had no trouble getting out. It would have been interesting though if Alex and Brainy got trapped in the cave at the same time that Kara was trapped in the Fortress of Solitude. It would have set the next episode up nicely for J'onn, Nia, Kelly etc. to have to search for Kara, Alex and Brainy at the same time. If they discovered that Lena was involved in Kara's disappearance, she would probably have come under scrutiny for any possible involvement in the disappearance of Alex and Brainy as well. Even if they didn’t know for sure that Lena had been involved, they would probably have been suspicious if Kara, Lena, Alex and Brainy had all gone out (albeit on two separate missions) and Lena was the only one to come back. The fact that Lena now has the Myriad device will of course also be an issue. I also thought that it was a bit of a mistake to not have the older woman (who's name is apparently Margot) be the leader of Leviathan, or at least s more important figure in said organization. She has always come across as scary and mysterious in her previous appearances, but in this episode, Rama Khan and the younger woman seemed to have a much higher status than her. I think this is a mistake; I would have preferred Margot as the leader since she was both more interesting and more different from previous villains. When it comes to Lena, I understand that she is feeling betrayed, but I also think she is overreacting a lot. Even though it is true that Kara should have told her sooner, I think it is understandable why she didn't. First of all, Kara is trying to keep her secret hidden from as many people as possible. Most of the people that know her secret haven't actually found out from Kara herself but in other ways. Of the top of my head, I can only think of Winn, Lucy and Nia as people that Kara told voluntarily. Alex and Eliza Danvers figured it out themselves because Kara is family and they knew she was Superman's cousin. Also, of course, Kara wasn't in costume when she saved Alex in the pilot episode. James knew because Superman had asked him to look out for his cousin Kara. J'onn knew because Hank had known about Kara's abilities since shortly after Kara arrived to Earth. Et cetera, et cetera. When Kara and Lena first met, they were obviously strangers to each other. Eventually they developed a friendship, but it took time since Lena was reluctant to become friends with anyone at first. But while Lena and Kara's friendship was evolving, Lena was also working separately with Supergirl, whom she didn't particularly like nor trust. Lena even told Kara about her dislike and distrust of Supergirl. Obviously these statements would have scared Kara into silence. It makes sense that she wouldn't want to tell Lena that she actually IS Supergirl after Lena has said that she dislikes Supergirl. Once Kara and Lena became friends I don't think that Kara's reluctance to tell Lena had anything to do with Lena being a Luthor, but rather the fact that she was afraid of how Lena would react. And she wasn't just afraid that Lena would be angry and that she wouldn't forgive her, but she was probably also afraid that Lena wouldn't even want to forgive her due to her not liking Supergirl. And of course it became a vicious circle since the longer she waited, the worse it became. She couldn't tell Lena in the very beginning of their friendship because she had to get to know her well enough to know that she could trust her, but once she had gotten to know Lena well, it felt like she had been essentially lying for way too long, which made Kara scared of telling Lena (plus the fact that at this point Kara had also learned that Lena didn’t like Supergirl). But it's also important to note that, unlike Lex’s motives for spilling Supergirl’s secret, Kara didn't have any malicious intent in keeping Lena in the dark. Instead, she wanted to protect both Lena and their friendship. While Lena may feel like she was the butt of some joke, that really wasn't the case. It was unfortunate that Lena was scared on several occasions into thinking that she and Kara were in life or death situations, but there really wasn't any way around that without telling Lena the secret in the middle of possibly inappropriate times. Kara was constantly trying to keep Lena safe and to protect her from the danger that knowing Kara's secret could bring. But I do however think that if Kara had gotten a chance to tell Lena herself, she probably wouldn't have been quite so upset, or at least not as vindictive. As it was, Lex took advantage of Lena's fear of betrayal by telling her about Supergirl. He obviously wanted to get revenge by hurting both Lena and Kara. I'm not completely convinced that Lex really is dead, though. The last scene with Lex in the season 4 finale seemed a bit ambiguous in terms of Lex's alleged death. Up until this point, Kara was right to apologize to Lena for keeping the secret from her. But if I were Kara, I would stop apologizing after Lena had trapped me like this. Lena seems to think that the fact that she doesn’t kill Kara makes her a good person, but a good person would realize that sometimes foregiveness is important. Especially in a case such as this when Kara never had any ill motives for lying. Lena is now trapping Kara and putting her in danger, while also plotting to use her device on billions of people worldwide. In my opinion Lena is now proving herself to be unstable and untrustworthy, and she is proving that Kara was in fact right to keep the secret from her. The only one who needs to apologize now is Lena, but if I were Kara, I would probably end the friendship myself. It would be one thing for Lena to be upset, but to actually trick Kara in order to put her, as well as other people, in danger (which is the complete opposite of what Kara did ”to” Lena), is pretty unforgivable. I also don’t think that Lena’s statement that she killed Lex for Kara/Supergirl is completely true. Lex was (or is) a scheming, manipulative monster. It is not Kara’s fault that Lena had to kill him. The end result would probably have been the same even if Lena had known about Kara’s secret identity. So that is something that Lena really shouldn't blame Kara for.

Kara Danvers and Lena Luthor are genderbend for Peter Parker (Maguire) and Harry Osborn (Franco). The difference is that Harry Osborne has been registered as a villain at Villains Wiki, in fact Harry despised Spiderman AKA Peter so much because the murder of Norman until Harry learned the truth of Peter, and then manipulated Peter by winning MJ's heart. On the other hand Lena has NEVER been registered as a villain at Villains Wiki, in fact she confesses herself she's not a villain. From the beginning she truly liked Supergirl AKA Kara. The big problem was because Lena is LUTHOR, Kara had to hide her identity from Lena.
