Given the series has already established a lesbian couple within it's regular cast structure, it seems unlikely that Lena & Kara will be waking up beside each other anytime soon. Having said that, almost from the first introduction of Lena into the series, it seems the show runners are entwining these two in a web of possibilities. Perhaps, as in Lost GIRL, they're setting a where Kara & Lena will indeed become involved creating a love triangle choice where Kara must decide between Mon-El and Lena - along with the dramatic pitfalls accompanying such a choice.

Even if I'm wrong, Lena (and Katie McGrath herself) has expressed many times that she hates the way her mother and brother view aliens and she just wants to help people on earth, both human and alien.
