Kara x Lena | Supercorp |*| Can You Hold Me 

11K! Holy crap! Thank you guys so much ♥ I am working on another project, but I got to say it's something I have never done before and it is taking me a lot longer than I was hoping. Hopefully it's worth the wait for you all :)

So I have seen a lot of comments in other videos about the looks they give each other, discussions about Supercorp Shippers misreading them. I have come up with a decent argument for this, Melissa Benoist herself. If the looks were just coming from Katy McGrath, the anti-shippers argument would hold weight. Katy creates chemistry with everyone she acts across unless told specifically not to, she has said this in interviews before. She does what she does and let's the audience interpret however they want because that's her goal, to let people read into things what they feel from her scenes. But not Melissa. Melissa is very much an intentional actress. Everything she does has a purpose and intended message. She doesn't leave much open to interpretation. So when she stares at Lena with the same look she gives Mon El, there is a reason for that. When her voice gets desperate at the thought of losing her, that's intentional. The show runners instructions to them both had to be to start setting this up as romance, but then they pulled back. Even when Lena was using Kara, they made sure to show the looks in Lena's eyes when they held each other. Lena looked happy to still have Kara in her life. When she says you'll always be my best friend, that had a double meaning. Lena didn't protect Kara's secret just use her like she claimed. The tears in her eyes as she chose not to send the email says it all. She chose to protect Kara even though she was angry. That hug they shared on stage, the look in Lena's eyes was her excepting the fact that she wouldn't hurt Kara no matter how angry she was. Granted it would take a long time before they made up, but Lena still kept Kara safe. Every time Kara was in danger, Lena Luthor always came through, no matter how mad she was. I'm angry that the show baited is but they did give us enough scenes to establish that regardless of how distant these 2 became, they always cared about the other

I wish the show did 1 flash back episode for Lena to remember all of these moments

It's clear to me that Morgana and Lena were written similarly and both had heroes like Kara and Merlin who tried to help them. Morgana and Lena both were destined to do terrible things. The difference in my opinion was Kara Danvers. Both Merlin and Kara hid who they were, both kept a dual identity from Lena and Morgana which caused both to turn dark. The difference, Kara didn't abandon Lena, she doubted her at times, but never fully abandoned her despite everyone telling her Lena was bad. Merlin listened to the dragon, he abandoned Morgana. Morgana only turned to her sister because everyone she trusted abandoned her. Kara wouldn't let their family abandon Lena, she never truly gave up

Can someone please tell me where/when does Lena say "I chose you. I stand by my choice" at 0:20? I don't remember her saying that and can't think of where else it's from. Thanks!

The entire time Lena was manipulating Kara, Katie made the acting choice to show doubt. Lena hated doing it, every bad choice she made she hated it. Whenever she made Kara smile she felt horrible knowing it was a lie. I always felt like Lena convinced herself she was just venting. I think Lena fully intended on fixing things and thought Kara would be there when she finally calmed down. 5x13 crushed her, actual tears in her eyes when Kara told her she could no longer turn a blind eye and that she would actively pursue stopping Lena. I think Lena doubled down not out of anger, but desperation to prove to Kara she wasn't evil. If she could make her plan succeed, then she could fix things with her head held high and show Kara she never turned bad. Unfortunately Lex showed her that the moment she shook his hand, she went villain.
