It was an awesome experience traveling on Punjab and KPK motor ways. If you need more content from my end as I had completed the whole trip on my Suzuki Mehran. It was bit challenging but awesome experience.

Aoa. May I ask what was the total fuel expenditure and how many litres were used ? I'm thinking to go karachi by road in Corolla but I'm not sure of its fuel economy as I have never taken it to long trip.

Very informative (Y). I am planning to travel by road from KHI to Isb with my 6 years old son. Will it be safe considering it'll just be me and my son and because the kid is young, i might need to take 3-4 stops in between? Can you suggest me safe stops between Khi and Sukkur where i can relax for 30-40mins + get hygienic food and clean washrooms? You suggested not to take any stop until Sukkur, is that bc of any security issue?

Does the normal (halogen bulb) lights of car are enough? specially for the Hyd to Suk part? or one should have additional lights or LEDs instead of normal lights?? I have picanto. 2ndly, if one want to follow the google map, does internet work all the way till Islamabad? 3rdly, people say that there is no working petrol pump on motorway between Sukkur and Multan (that's 390km) is that true? You mentioned that there is one (or a couple of pumps) am i right? Is that (are those) ON MOTORWAY or one has to get off from motorway to get fuel? 4thly, your car took 24 litres of petrol from Khi to Suk... what's the average of your car?? 5thly, does cards (fuel cards, credit n debit cards) work on all (or majority) pumps from Hyderabad to Islamabad or one has to carry cash for fueling?? 6thly, do we have emergence numbers for travellers of National highways and motorways? Is the helpline responsive and the motorway crew helpful? What if one is stuck with a broken car like heating issue or ran out of petrol or headlights stop working or any other malfunctioning? Can we get a mechanic?? Even if mechanic is available will spare parts be available?? How important is the condition of car?? In short, will "garri kharab ho jana" be a big big issue?? or is it just a waste of some hours but will get help easily??

In which month did you travel? can you also provide details on how to avoid fog wather?
