The one thing, I have always observed in Karan's interview is his ability to recognize and openly support and applaud his crew and all the unsung talents in filmmaking. Its a good thing when the not so known departments are appreciated on the mainstream forums.
A big hug to Karan Johar because this movie was much needed in todays date especially because i have experienced so many issues which were addressed in this movie! And I watched it at the perfect time it all just aligned with my life. I cried, i laughed so much, i felt the love, and a big jadu jhapi to karan johar because this movie is magic!!!
He looks so genuinely happy with the outpour of love for the film. I hope Karan keeps filming and takes what we like about this film with a grain of salt. RARKPK worked because Karan finally listened to the criticism and was self aware. Hope that awareness carries his next feature too.

One thing I really appreciate about Karan Johar is how he remembers and credits the people he works with. Writers, production heads, TV actors, he names them all n then some.
Thank you for the interview. I understand Karan's point on inherent bias versus genuine criticism. I like how Kjo showcases relationships. Havent watched Rocky and Rani but many others that show surprising sensitivity despite looking seemingly superficial.
Great conversation. Love when Karan Johar does interview. This was him actually being vulnerable. The older he's getting he's baring his outer layer and letting people know his actual self. Glad he's learnt how to become resilience. Shows maturity and intelligence.
Suchi taking even all the insult comments under all her videos with a hint of sarcasm is a real motivation in how to take any sort of personal attack.. ❤
Not gonna lie , i like karan johar's interviews, very Candid and blunt in his approach. The fact that he gives credits to his colleagues and actors on every mention of them is quite commendable and gracious of him. Su4rita has always asking the Right Questions. Enjoyed it!
TBH, I hadn't really warmed up to KJo's early directorials like KKHH and K3G, as I thought they were way too melodramatic. My opinion of him, however, changed dramatically on watching Kal Ho Naa Ho, which he'd written and not directed. Maine socha, yaar kaafi cool, smart aur un-melodramatic bhi hai yeh banda!! Although it did have its share of dialled-up drama. But the tonal shift of KHNH from his two directorials was marked, and in a good way, IMO.

When will karan make a movie with srk and Rani again.. I was so desperate for you to ask karan on this Sucharita. We wanna see the chemistry between them again like kank. Okay, I liked Kank ab meko troll karne mat lag jaana because with time and age you realise that at times you fall out of love just like that and not necessarily you need a big reason it’s just that you value your own happiness more! That’s what the movie meant to me.

17:07 Sucharita, I get what you are trying to say here, but have to disagree on your observation that Rocky is loud while KaranJ is not. Karan is also loud in his dressing style, shoes, accessories, etc. I actually think he puts a little of himself in his character/characters in his films. So, what would have been a good question is how much of himself he sees and in which character. Great interview, by the way! 👍. I am a KJo fan and have read his book as well. Hope he reads this comment and responds 😃
I want a director's cut for RNRKPK... I do want to see all those edited sequences. Recently I came across some edited footage from K3G and I was so upset that these were removed from the film!

omg guys go watch the movie..it is beautiful..and yes the reviews are true...i must say i was a bit skeptical when all the critics praised the movie...its simple yet delivers quite a punch many times...my teen daughter gave it a 8.5 sucharita !
the film RARKPK is uneven - lacks solid emotions like in KKHH K3G & KANK.KARAN sld not shy away from doing what he does best- sld play his strength (we don't mind mush & some tear jerkers)
I dont know i found it a very average film, very okayish. Raveer was really good, and the bengali family. Alia was not good though , bengali accent is pathetic by Alia.
I dont know if you people bother to not talk about but i like the scene where Dharmendra flirts with Sheeba in the award ceremony...i can see she is liking that "The Dharam ji "flirting with her and she got that chance like Kareena grabbed the chance to kiss "The Silvester Stallone"Kambakht Ishq 😄 I find that scene cute ❤️
I loved Rocky Rani but I think Karan Johar should stop trying to please the so called liberal reviewers and create a real mass non westernised entertainer like Gadar 2 and Pathaan.

Karan is genius as always. His interview are the most intelligent interview in Bollywood. And loved this question Sucharita ... It was almost new question and which was non repetitive from other interview of Karan with Film Companion and Bollywood Hungama .
I have always liked watching Karan Johar interviews. He seems very intelligent, yes, he seems arrogant at times but i think that's okay. He has also been self critical many times. I think he understands the business quite well. I wish he could make more films like Kal Ho Na Ho and MNIK.
