Unpopular opinion, but I love Karan and love watching him. He is charismatic, has great stage presence, eloquent, smart and has good eye for television🌟🌙The reason why he gets hate is because he knows how to capture attention. He seems like real TV-persona, i.e eye-catching colorful unique personality✨❤️✨

Growing up, I didn’t realize that I was tomboyish until one day when I returned home while dribbling the basketball. As soon as I entered the drawing room my dad who was observing me from a distance very lightheartedly said, “Beta, why were you walking like Hanuman?” I laughed it off then but then had to work on my lady like skills, afterwards. I didn’t realize but it had hit me subconsciously. We all go through such experiences in life but don’t mull over it and hurt yourself by constantly reminding yourself about that. Mr. Johar, if I am given an option to choose between a six-packed Greek God OR You, I would choose you any day! ❤️🥂

As a 90s kid, I want to thank Karan for giving us classics back then which we will cherish forever. Over the years, i have also grown to hating homosexuality to accepting every human-being as equal. That's what Karan has earned, though I hate it sometimes that his films never given any major roles to the poorer section of the society but that was early 2000s so, I hope in the years to come, every citizen of every strata gets his due in his films which can reach every audience. In all, thanks for your service to art. (Dunno, if he'd ever read this)

This open talk concept is quite good and motivating !!! I so wish, this wud had reached the audience during my times which was much much required. Back then those times getting accepted and wanting to live life on your terms and expressing it was so difficult. If you do so you wud be judge or wud be called a brat. I have been listening to Karan Johar on many platform and yes he carry his persona so well while representing himself. Yes,in some context i may feel he has been privileged but yet not all can have same lives. Faye, great job. It will be great if you can bring on more folks who can be sometimes people out of the film industry too.

I hope today parents help their children overcome their insecurities, be yourself in such escape and convenient excuse in my opinion. Children shouldn't be told what they can or can't do, they need to figure it out. Unless harm is involved, the uncertainty of what will happen later will always remain irrespective of who you're. I wish all of us breakthrough holding ourselves back to be a better version of ourself.

Beautiful interview, Faye! In a sea of podcasts where mostly its men asking questions, you have no idea (or maybe you do and that's why we have this!) how refreshing your questions were. It finally felt great to see Karan (who i really admire a lot) as the person, the human he is minus the bling (monochromatic is probably working), the superficial questions. I thought i was being asked some of these questions because they were so open ended.. Like the one you asked about success and wealth. Please please never lose your authenticity. ❤

There was a time, when, like many others who are quick to judge people, I used to think of Karan Johar as someone who makes unrealistic films for rich people. I, for one, grew up in the 80's and 90's consuming films which constantly, as a matter of strategy, drilled the message into my head that rich people are - without an exception - bad people. If you are a mill-owner, you are a bad person, and the mazdoor in your mill is the hero. If you are a rich dad, you are a bad person, because you are constantly trying to lock your daughter up in a room so she cannot meet this poor unemployed boy she happened to fall in love with. Rich = Bad. That was the message I grew up with. Karan Johar = Bad. Anurag Kashyap = Good. Till one day, it struck me that both these filmmakers had the exact same filmmaking strategy, albeit in different segments of the spectrum. Both were empowering other people to go and make their own films. Both were telling stories that mattered to them. Both were making the films they wanted to. And in the EXACT same language and voice and style. It's just that this style, this voice was one that fitted their respective films. I think, at the end of the day, one should just go ahead and do what makes one happy, as long as it doesn't harm anyone else. That's all there is to it, really. Otherwise one day, you wake up and realize, damn, life just passed me by, and I spent it conforming to other people's expectations. This was a good interview, and more than anything else, I personally was happy to see that both these wonderful people, Karan and Faye, in their own ways, and despite the respective and unique struggles that they have been through, are doing what they want, what makes them happy, and that they will sleep well at night. Nothing - absolutely NOTHING - is more important than that.
