'Rei'［レイ］is one of the ways to read 「霊」, which means ghost/spirit. On the train tracks, one of the girls doesn't have a visible shadow. (This doesn't imply that the shadowless girl is a ghost. It is more likely that the other girl hallucinated the shadowless girl). Sentences at 1:30 provide evidence that Rei was bullied. The speaker (girl with a visible shadow) is likely the suspect, as 「次の標的に置かれた花瓶」, and 「仕掛けたのは僕だった」 suggests. The sentence, 「仕掛けたのは僕だった」 reveals that the vase was placed by the speaker. In Japan, placing flowers on someone's desk even though they aren't dead is a one of the forms of bullying. Additionally, at 2:07, 「爪を突き立てる 不揃いのスカート」which translates to "Sticking nails in a messed up skirt", shows the possibility of sexual assault. Rei's suicide was likely caused by bullying. The speaker may had feelings for Rei, but was ultimately friendzoned.
