okay.. Full credit to both teams, the margin of error is infinitesimally small. I think Unsu is slightly harder than Ohan. A brave but riskier choice. The ever famous jump was very slightly out of time (the rotation, not the jump and land) The sweeps in bunkai by the Iranians had the opponent already in the air before the sweep. The Italian team performed this aspect of the bunkai better and contact was made with the swept leg. Overall beautiful performances but it's in the very, very minor details..
Thanks! The Iranians overreached in choosing a kata beyond their ability to perform simultaneously. Looked good but no cigar. Been in a similar situation.
One thing I love about these videos as a traditional martial artist (Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido) is not the competition but seeing people from all cultures at these events. The martial arts reach out across borders and culture and helps anyone develop their best self.
As a martial artist over 50 years experience, I think those ladies performed beautifully if they can apply their technique in real situations would be great.
Italy didn't have any synchronisation problems like Iran did, that's why Italy won gold. Nevertheless I think Iran kata (not bunkai) was better, in fact refreshing to watch. Both teams were great.
Iran much better... but the New Ohan Olympic Kata from italy female team surprise Win according to the judge ....the simplicity of movements again the difficulty and technical superiority of Unsu kata...
The timing for hand movement of Italian girls was not coordinated at least in the first few minutes and the girl at the far corner was doing faster than the leader. Iranian girls' movement was much more solid. I can't see how the Italian team won!!
@@felixt1470 I'm 16. I myself also do Martial Arts. Karate, Muay Thai, and Boxing and been doing it for 4+ years. I'm almost certain they have experience in sparring. And can beat an average Joe. LOL.
Iran was better by the way you should improve your pronunciation of Japanese words you being the professional. Kata is Kahtah emphasis on the last syllable and NOT : kaytah Karate should be kah rrrrah tey with the [r] roll like in Italian. Not karah ti.
This is bad for Karate. The Iranian team performed much better than the Italian. So a professional karate ka will be confused and disappointed by seeing this.
