One of the most beautiful karate commercial...high quality of sound, video and amazing male voice. Very powerful quotes and sentences. Everyone who brings karate in a heart will understand this video as a excellent philosophy of life. One big Oss for video idea !
@@fitandlearn3888 my karate teacher damaged his knee and doctors said he could not train any more...but he worked around the injury for years with good technical, no bravado training, he is fine now! Keep mobility and listen to your body, change your diet🙏
I love karate but feel I wasted too much time training it as a style....I still believe in the empty hand but see it more as a concept than a style so I try to complete my karate with wrestling and grappling to make it more complete as how karate was intended to be. U can even see grappling and wrestling techniques in many kata such as pinan sono 3
Can anyone who knows well can tell me whether it is any specific Karate style that is in this video. Are those patterns that practitioners practice called Kata?
Great Comment! I am 57. I have practiced Karate for 53 years. Life-long journey. It is nice to see the old karateka doing the best they can and ejoying it. Thanks for your words and best wishes from Mexico.
This piece has to be congratulated on capturing an essence of what karate is to all participants - whether young, old, novice or advanced. It portrays quite effectively, ( without using the more commercially driven visuals - unfortunaly becoming a norm in karate promotion), that karate is from within and its practice affords those who embrace it can enjoy and experience an infinitity of benefits to others and to themselves.
Problem in the UK and more so America, many clubs are part of large federations where students are pushed into grading early to make money for the federation or owner, children are given black bets when they are way too young, and the styles are very watered down. Not mentioning any names, there was a group of clubs in my part of the country which were a franchise that was all about making money and the style was largely useless for self defence. I left after 4 months when a few other senior members told me the same.
i simply LOVED this video. as a practitioner of over 30 years,i could not agree more with all that was expressed here.i wish, somehow, the general public(a.k.a the non practitioners and nay sayers) would give this art (and all traditional martial arts) a fair chance to impact their lives and the lives of their children. this video just hit the nail on the head.
This is the real spirit and essence of karate, very far from the competitive way which unfortunately it as turned. Karate is a way of life, with honor, respect and discipline. Oss.
I'm 52 and started training at 25 currently nidan (second) degree black belt. May be testing for Sandan (third) degree next year. It is mostly about self improvement and unification of mind, body and spirit.
Excellent production. As a 10yr Katate student myself it explains the benefits perfectly. It’s and art, a form of exercise, a useful tool, and a social platform that’s full of positivity. Your clip summarises that excellently. Thank you.
you seem to have already grasped the purpose of martial arts, but i just want to say one thing. don’t get caught up in your belt. it really doesn’t matter. what matters is what you get out of it physically, emotionally and mentally. too many students take ranks too seriously and then the art becomes nothing more than a game, focused solely on levelling up.
That_cat21 was that reply to me or a comment on the general video? Either way, I agree with you wholeheartedly. The belt system is a great way of demonstrating progress but it really doesn’t mean anything. Continual repetition of the form is much more beneficial than what you wear around your waist 👍🏼
I completely agree. Once it was a black belt of Shotokan karate, but now I can't practice it anymore because a long time ago I hurt my left knee. However, I am convinced that it is a correct way of life.
Outstanding! Bulls eye, using Karate as a vechile of obtaining discipline, focus, peace and structure in our life. Much needed for our younger generations growing up in this technological world that competes for our constant attention. Great Job!
Do not think. Feel. It's like a finger pointing to the moon. do not focus on the finger or you will miss this heavenly beauty. Little Dragon (Bruce Lee)
It’s been 5 years since I quited karate at local sport center ,but after I watched this video, something inside of me has just begun to burn again. I mean it’s really stimulating for me.
All the main traditionial styles resides in Sweden. In the movie you can see Shito-ryu, Goju-ryu and Shotokan, as well as cross over kumite training between different styles for competition.
