Oh my god, that lake was so pretty! My elementary school teacher was from Finland and always told us about the beautiful Finnish lakes! The lake in my town is basically mud with fish in it. And you can't really swim in it, because there's some algae in it, that'll make you get sick.

Seeing these video of you competing at such a high level makes me want to try even harder in my training to try to get to the Olympics one day!

Going for my shodan (Okinawan goju-ryu) this Friday! I am nervous and excited!

Thanks for another great video sensei. A really wonderful combination of supplements for recovering from a workout specially if you trained at altitude higher altitude. I take B 6, zinc and magnesium. I promise they will make you recover from your workouts after all so healthy carbs after you workout sessions grapefruit segments will make you feel wonderful. What a beautiful Shiko Dachi Jesse. I've been a Shotokan person for the past 2 decades and just recently for the past year doing Shito and Goju Katas. Since we need to be versatile in out national squad. Sadly, I'm not the most flexible to get that low and wide Shiko Dachi. Gonna work on it. Perhaps find pics of your Shiko Dachi along with others I look up to and post them up on my wall 😂

Is there any difference in your kata approach when you train for a tournament and when you teach them in your Dojo? I mean, do you change a bit the times and pauses between techniques or is just the same?

Oss sensei. Sensei I personally don't like competition. I feel like karate is not for competing and seeing who did it better. Its a way of life. I mean I like the traditional karate as it is. I personally think that we don't compete when we eat, drink ,sleep those are part of our life. And for me karate is also a part of life so I feel I don't need to prove myself. Again thats my personal feeling sensei. What do you think sensei? If I'm wrong pls correct me sensei. Oss sensei😊😊
