I'm no expert. But I understand why associates years back would ask for my impressions / inputs. Egypt's strong opening is impressive indeed. But after seeing Japan these karatekas are world's apart. Japan has a centre that is fluid, is seen, appreciated, is developing and connecting well, from her opening breath at start, in her first breaths, she embodies BASICS that are beautiful 🙏. I then watched Egypt again and after 2 minutes her centre is more solid and rigid. Her kata NEEDS more technique that she shows in her first 2 minutes. She, is LESS fluid, less developed so NEEDS to show more technique, does not try to be beautiful? The pretty I like in ALL things, others adore too! In the past I would say less (I would say "is more," LATER when I learned from others) maybe (?) with BIG question mark on my face! I had no real experience so would grudgingly say less too. This before I LATER became physicist = don't waste energy. Will try to watch the others' katas but had a dose of pretty which is satisfyilng...
