Karcher Vario Power lance malfunction 

Exactly the same problem. As per some of the responses, I dismantled the lance, and there was some tiny thing within the nozzle I removed it, and the problem was fully solved. Thanks for the original poster and the contributors

Thanks so much I wasn't sure what the problem was(got the same problem) I had stripped the handle a few times and the problem kept changing, so I thought I was targeting the right spot. But reading what you've put it gave me the right way to go. I had a piece of O-ring blocking the jet on the lance, removed it and hey presto fixed. So a BIG THANKS Cheers 🍻

Same problem half way through doing a job, stripped the nozzle out and thoroughly cleaned it,reassembled and good to go

I just fixed mine! Same issue, when i took the jet nozzle out (white cone bit in the end) i found 2 seals blocking it! No clue where they came from but removed and tested and works perfectly with no leaks....

I fixed this issue by dissassembling the lance and cleaning the nozzle etc. Take note of which setting it is on when you disassemble for easy re-assembly.

Exactly the same problem on a brand new out of the box k7 compact. The dirt blaster attachment gives great results but the variable lance pulsates when on high pressure. Taken it apart but nothing i can see wrong with the internals - noticed that it doesnt have a flat jet of water and seems to just throw high pressure out in all directions!

Same fault, same cure - disassemble , thorough clean all nozzle parts,(grit in mine) reassemble , working perfect-thanks.

Had same problem, try a different nozzle, which if works as it does as in your case, it is the nozzle. Just stripped mine down and no obvious blockage, but a tiny amount of grit, washed it all out, reassembled and tested all working well. Note photo all the parts as you strip it down, to ensure it goes back correctly, I forgot and it took me about 5 mins longer to figure out why it didn’t go back together!

*I haven't used it yet, however, this pressure washer replacement gun offers greater spray flexibility over the standard sprayer gun that came with my pressure washer originally.*

I have the exact same problem,I’ve cleaned the lance a few times, and tried other lances and triggers same problem, even with the dirt blaster it’s pulsating. Any help please

I’ve also had to remove a small pebble from my Karcher nozzle. Fixed the problem immediately. Did it fall into the nozzle in storage or did it come through the water source? Doesn’t really matter because the problem is solved. : )

I had similar problem, the solution i used: Put decal (anti calcium) solvent inside the nozzle, seal the nozzle with stretched nylon, turn the wand upside down and fill it with decal solvent from the opposite side. Let it rest standing on the nozzle for 30 minutes until all the calcification is dissolved from the nozzle cavities and the wand internals.

Thank you this has saved my lance, was indeed a pebble stuck in the white bit.

I have the same problem and did not succeed to solve the problem. Will try to disassemble again and wash it

I have the same issue. I've had my lance apart 6 times. Used a fine wire to make sure there is no debris in it and air pressure to blow anything out of the tip or lance. It worked fine last year but started this this spring. Stored in basement so it did not freeze

Did you find the cure ? Mine is doing the same 🙈

Hi, I have the same issue and took the vario lance apart and found a piece of O-ring. I cleared it out and put it back together and still had the same issue. Any suggestions?

Why buy a "powercontroll high prerssure machine??It just makes trouble. My old Kärcher worked like a 5 star machine untill it died:-)) The new 5K full Controll pressurewasher is a piece of junk. If You carry out a pressaurewasher from the shed, it is because You want HIGH PRESSURE, otherwise You can take thew gartdenhose that hangs on the wall just ready to squirt. This overambitious regulator mania have spoiled the whole idea of pressurewashing. I shouls cleanse my drain the other day,. A work that went easy and fast with the old pressaurewasher. Now with the "Full" control, it took 3 times the time because You have no controll at all! I say avoid the new "Full " controll machines because You have no controll at all

It might well be water pressure! If it’s not got enough it doesn’t work check on kinks in your hose

Just had this issue with mine, I e already had the nozzle apart, only to see if there was something obvious, ill have it bits again next time I use it, see if I can find any blockages.. Is everyone still working that managed a fix?

Water pressure is too low. That’s all it’s not the karcher
