Nothing to do with toxic feminity because people don’t really harp on women who do powerful moves that are typically done by men. Come on, have some common sense

Safia Kabiri - women aren’t traditionally in competition, they’re pit against each other by viewers. Perfect example would be Somin and Jiwoo; they’ve never been outright hostile to each other, but “fans” make up stories about how they hate each other and stuff. And not everything that is “gendered” comes down to toxic masculinity, but it does explain a lot of things. For example: why some guys don’t do typically female moves. Of course kpop dudes are different, but that doesn’t change the term. Toxic masculinity is when people think their masculinity it pulled into question when they don’t follow specific standards. Doesn’t even have to be outright feminine. It’s an insecurity, of sorts. They’ve associated being feminine when they’re male to something bad and inappropriate

Considering how little DSP invested into this comeback, the fact they are doing live performances instead of music shows, and their upcoming tour, it looks like DSP is trying to milk as much money with as little effort as possible before he enlists. I hope his enlistment won’t be the end of KARD. They could definitely keep gaining fans and remaining relevant by having solo and subunit releases (Jiwoo + Somin and BM + either girl... kind of like a Troublemaker replacement) during his enlistment. Lord knows Jiwoo and Somin both have the potential to be great soloists, although I think Somin would fair better domestically since she matches Korean standards a bit more. BM could also continue producing music, sort of like SNSD’s Hyoyeon as DJ Hyo. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that KARD will disband when J.seph enlists. Somin’s contract might also be ending once J.seph finishes enlistment, since she debuted with April in 2015. If her 7 year contract started then, it will be over earlier than the other KARD members (2022). They’ve also lost their pre-debut and debut hype, and their album sales have decreased with every release along with their song downloads and sales. My logical bet is that DSP will disband KARD and just try debuting Somin as a soloist. In all honesty, the original purpose of KARD seemed to be a vehicle to launch Somin’s career. And as for Jiwoo and BM, BM can probably just continue producing and Jiwoo? Well, Youngji’s career shows that DSP has no problem doing nothing with one of their artists if they aren’t bankable.
