There doesn't seem to be anything humbling in posing and parading adorned in jewelry and being bowed to. For humility, look into Mother Theresa and Albert Schweitzer, real humble, selfless service and agape love in action type of people.
Meghan should know the I just feel wild about harry is created by Eube Blake a black American pianist song writer who broke down barriers for black artists in his time . His parents were former slaves . Also.that song was done by an all black cast on on Broadway it was a very first for that era
She said: “So, I believe the reason they booed Kim Kardashian is because the country’s getting sick of narcissistic, vain, self-promotional, ‘rules do not apply to me’ type of people.” YES, and not just your country! I've ALWAYS hated this behavior on social media and it truly has become a pandemic. It's why Instagram makes me vomit, for example. These girls state in their Instagram that they are "models", simply because they make selfies with a cellphone and showing excessive skin. They behave incredibly arrogant and entitled too. It's all about empty appearances to them. What's on the inside does not count. Really, what do these creatures contribute to society? NOTHING!
EXACTLY 👏🏻 this is WHY I HATE Instagram and don’t go on it’s all FAKE they call themselves MODELS MORE like ESCORTS I’ve noticed! plus I’m SICK of every girl wanting/OR looking like KIM K I’m SO over it!
It has to do with her lying about the sextape! She signed the contract but blamed RayJ and for the last 15+ years ppl thought he was a bad guy, it was Kims moms idea, Kris watched the videos & had them shoot a 3rd video! Kim signed the contract for the sex tape with vivid, Kris was on a late nite show a few weeks ago & took a fake lie detector test & once again acted as if RayJ sold the tape on his own! RayJ went live on IG & showed the world kim signed the contract, showed the messages between Kim kris & RayJ, it also showed Kim & Kris DELETING the messages to him while he was live! So that family continues to use Black ppl for money! Kim wanted Kanye committed so she cld get control Of his music catalog! When she couldn’t do that in Montana she flew back to LA & filed for divorce & has tried to keep his kids from him! The Kardashians are horrible ppl!
I know she meant serving her people, but in practice she never served anyone, she had endless servants herself, ladies maids, cooks, chauffeurs, secretaries, hairdressers, etc… to say she was a servant is an insult to all the women and men who spend their entire lives looking after other people in very difficult circumstances at the expense of their own needs and happiness.
My grandmother had the most gorgeous wrinkles because she was a happy woman. She smiled genuinely much of the time. Her wrinkles were a map of that. She was gorgeous, natural looking, and I never heard her berate her appearance. She was a great role model. It was her spirit that gave her beauty. That kind of beauty can never be bought. This reality-phobia that he speaks of is spot on.
You chose the right word there Elizabeth. She was GORGEOUS. It is entirely different because it does not rely on a contemporary interpretation of beauty. It is about the personality-- something that most 'celebrities' seem to be entirely lacking.
I bet your grandmother was absolutely ravishing. But what does that have to do with what someone else chooses to do with their body and appearance? Why do we judge others for that. I'm not a fan of the Kardashians. Not by a long shot. But I don't get the hate for Madonna and how she's choosing to age how she wants. It's extreme but Madonna's never been known for subtlety.
@@misterwallace3479 He's the biggest fucking narcissist in the fucking world. I would put Megyn Kelly, host of the Megyn Kelly show, featuring a picture of Megyn Kelly at the beginning, on the list too.
I feel hopeful with the reaction the crowd gave to Kim Kardashian. This family is despicable. They’ve destroyed young women for more than 20 years. I think it’s time for a massive revolution against them.
E! network and now Hulu definitely hold some blame. Kardashian family self-promotion on media is big but these networks keeping the series going when it should have been 3 to 5 seasons and done. If the Kardashians were to be canceled by Hulu, it would say a lot and begin to turn a corner especially for young girls and impressionable young people.
So we should burn these women on stake when it's US the WHOLE SOCIETY who built them? Does it really need to be always women who are blamed and hated for everything, yet it's us who are supposed to always look good. What can we do anymore?
Agree, yet they act like they are just queen, or too nice and too kind, or coz they are smart or successful so others are jealous of them 😬 I think they mistook self-love and self-respect with mean, ultra-selfish and self-serving bias. I couldn't help but link and correlate narcissism with silliness and self-delusional.
@@ecr-9341It could mean that they are projecting their own covert narcissism or it could be that they are just a good judge of character. Depends on context.
He's so right about this narcissist culture we live in now. It's all about selfies, look at me, me, ME! I'm the most important person on earth. Don't care about anyone but yourself. The self promoting, the phoniness, the self absorption. Young people are being brought up in this depressing culture and it's making them mentally unstable, comparing themselves to their Facebook friends constantly. No wonder suicide, depression and drug abuse is so pervasive.
I can't take it anymore. Wish I could go back to the 70's/80's generation (when I was a kid). Life seemed so simple looking back at it now. I don't like what this world has become.
60 year Olds look great when you care for yourself. That's why it's called growing old gracefully.....Linda carter..Jaclyn smith..look at our men... so handsome...60 is the new 40
My mom is the same age as Madonna and still looks really good, without having any plastic surgery. My mom does what Megyn does: she gets a little Botox injected every 4 months, and she also does different laser treatments, takes very good care of her skin, exercises 4x per week, and never smokes or drinks alcohol. So you can still look great in your 60s without plastic surgery.
Amen! I just saw a women at the store late 60's with a missionary badge in Stretch Pants. I could see her cellulite through the fabric! She was thin but trying too hard to be young again.
I believe all the Kardashians and Jenner's are too far gone with Vanity and believe that they are still believing that they are trend setters. To me they dress up for Halloween every day.
The funny thing young girls are thinking that they have to look perfect and if not it causes self esteem.problems depression if they think they're not fitting the trending beauty standards

I live in a busy big city Houston and after visiting California I noticed how much makeup mother's day daughter's were wearing. The mother's were trying to dress as young as the daughter. I have many friends and asked them about getting Boob jobs make up. They mostly laughed because their daughter's were infatuated with Kylie's makeup. I took my daughter right before turning 16 to a makeup artist. She showed her the colors to use on her eyes and never clump eye lashes. My daughter had thick eyebrows and she waxed them. She actually called me from school and thanked me. She was noticed! Every since she has gone to the same makeup artist. She said they are noticing me because I look real. Thank goodness I did this before turning 16. Now she is in good cleanser. I feel lucky. After a few visits to her uncle's and they visited Hollywood, San Francisco and San Diego she noticed lots of makeup and she said kids with Boob jobs showing very low tight tops.
I am 68 now and I have always tried to look my best and always dyed my long hair dark auburn but the older I got it didn’t make me look younger just made it look more fake so me and my sister “who also has long hair” decided to go gray together about 6 years ago. My hair has never been more beautiful and full! It’s naturally streaked in beautiful shades of dark and light gray and down to my waist now I LOVE IT! Just always try and look your best naturally
I’m 56 with hair down to the bottom of my butt. I was just telling my husband that I’ll always have long hair. Somehow people think they have to cut it when they reach a certain age. I’m glad you and your sister haven’t caved in.
It's hard to let it go gray with dark hair. I want to let it go gray because it's EXPENSIVE to color and highlight. I just can't get there with half white and half brunette hair 😩
I'm so glad someone is talking about this. Extreme narcissism is endemic in the U.S. and seriously leading to the hatred in this country. Everyone thinks they are the center of the universe (like Kim K.) and anyone who disagrees with -or differs from - them is the enemy. Kim K. and Madonna are really depressing because they have butchered themselves in the quest for so-called perfection. BUT, Madonna is not wearing a wig in that video - it's her own hair but dyed pink.
A perfect role model for aging is none other than Monica Bellucci or Paulina Porizkova. Monica was gorgeous when she was young and is now aging in a beautifully natural way but at the same time showing that beauty is not forever and what matters is to accept it and be grateful. Aging sucks but we all know that no matter what we do we're still going to bite the dust in the very end.
@@dm-jf5uu You are missing the point. There are plenty of Instagram "influencers" pumped with botox and filters on top of that, have no real money but millions of followers. Monica Bellucci is the epitome of natural beauty. She shows that a very beautiful woman can age naturally, look her age, no plastic surgery, looks after herself, and be ok with wrinkles and the gravity that does not forgive the face or other parts of the body. You don't need to have loads of money to be healthy and age well, that is the idea you put in your head with the help of social media and the internet. People have looked after themselves before in remote places and somewhat managed to look even better than what we do today ;).
I was having an in-depth conversation with my 17 yo daughter on the lead up yo her psychology exam. We were discussing parenting and the affect of children only being positively praised and not being made to be accountable for their behaviour growing up to be narcissists. I work with two narcissists and they cause havoc. I feel we need a huge swing back to some old school parenting and values to change this.
@@Diana-yn2ho They ARE special and unique. But they have no self-esteem at all and feel unworthy, and therefor they try to prove the whole world wrong. This is nearly the definition of narcissism.
@@mentaldisease5193 not everyone is special and unique. That's part of the problem. Everyone today gets a participation medal for just being alive. You have to work and earn to be special. Part of the problem is that every girl has been told they deserve the world and everything they desire. Go on any dating site and you'll see average, overweight girls with nothing to offer except their vagina, yet they demand a man who's 7ft tall, a millionaire with the body of a Greek god and the face of a model. That's why people are the loneliest they've ever been. Women's expectations are incredibly unrealistic, and most men can't even come close to matching it, so men are just either staying single or dating whoever's left. Social media and third wave feminism has convinced women they deserve everything, when all it's done is failed women entirely by lying to them.
@@Lovegun. I AM on a dating site and I can confirm what you say. Maybe I should clarify my statement. They are special and unique, when they are born. School and imposed social behavior and authorities make them what they are today. Indoctrination, crazy theories and false history affect everyone who is exposed to it for years. But if you can see under the skin, there are lots of insecurities and fears. This is not normal behavior for young people. It should only be during puberty when hormones are going crazy anyway. These people have been insecure all their lives and guilt has been instilled in them. And because of that, they have a tremendous lack of self-esteem. THAT leads to them having all the negative mannerisms you mention. Sure, it happens to most of us all, but today it has taken on unprecedented proportions. This is going on for decades.
I really appreciate this! This is long overdue and I’m so happy we are all calling this out and equalizing power, beauty standards, and abundance for more people ❤

I just wish Madonna would grow up and realize she is no longer 21 yrs old! Its embarrassing! She looks ridiculous and acts ridiculous!! For heavens sake!
Ughhhh ... as for Madonna, she's at least 15 years beyond the prime of her career. When you look back at it, most of it was about exploiting sex and her obsession with self centeredness and superficiality.
I liked her music. I agree with you though about the whole message she has put out. Plus she takes herself so seriously. It's like get over yourself. Human just like everyone else.
My 20 year old niece has had her cell phone glued to her hand for years. She won't stop checking Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. Constantly comparing her life and looks to that of people she's never even met. She's been on suicide watch way too many times for one who hasn't even lived life yet. Depressed, mentally unstable. No goals in life, no purpose, no aim. Living in her car, can't hold a job. But that cell phone is glued to her hand. She's on social media for hours and hours every day. Like her life depends on it.
😢💔 I truly feel grateful I didn’t grow up in this new generation and my heart cries for our children these days they are not living real lives and it’s really not their fault
I’m 71 and I would much rather have people say, “she looks great for her age” than “ her face is frozen and she looks like an alien.” No thanks. You can have the surgery, I’ll stick with God’s plan.
Kardashian is teaching her daughter that her self worth comes from her body and by instagram likes. Instead she should be teaching her worth comes from her creator and how we serve others.
Yes they talk about women being exploited by men but all their time and energy is put into Plastic Surgery, Botox and selfies and how to attract men with money who can help them with the costs of keeping young. We need to be teaching our daughters that life is wonderful and that using your brain and your abilities to become someone who benefits the human race by their deeds not by how many selfies, or appearances on game shows, or being famous for being seen with rich men
I grew up in the 70's and 80's. I've never been so proud of my age and what knowledge I've accumulated in those years. Yeah we wanted to be just like our idols, but we knew who we are, we knew that that was a fantasy, we had to be what we currently saw in the mirror and live life the way we knew how to live. I've also survived a worldly disastrous issue such as Aids, drug addiction, depression/anxieties, bulling (when it wasn't a well known thing) and not to mention race wars, terrorists etc. Though it all, I had to remember who I was, I had to live and deal with the realities of life, all without therapy or medications. I'm still dealing with issues today but I deal with it face on and stronger. Never having to take my own life.
30 years ago my mother said to me "This is the me generation. Everything is about me - me - me!" And she was so right. Ironically all this just reflects is miserable - depressed - and unhappy people. Like he said Madonna was amazing in her time but now she looks like a circus act. The shock value she introduced to us doesn't work when you are in your 60's. It's a different world. She needs to work on projects behind the scenes - bow out with grace - and wear classy age appropriate outfits. The pressure of fame and celebrity is way over rated and it's even more depressing knowing that none of them are at peace with themselves and live in this weird reality. Great conversation Megyn!
Can you recommended something he's written to a first-time viewer of his? I see he's written a lot of books(so I don't know where to start lol) and I LOVED what he said here so I want to know more. Thank you!!
Madonna, Kim Kardashian etc. represent ego/narcissism on steroids. Unfortunately they have huge audiences, many of whom cannot see beyond the superficiality of what they represent. But I think the tide is turning and the booing of KK is perhaps a sign of same. We can only hope! Madonna is embarrassing herself, sad! Likely she is struggling mentally and will continue to refuse to grow old gracefully. I agree with Andrew, these people are not happy and are to be pitied.
They don't know God. They think they are Gods. Some day it will be too late for them. They live superficial lives that don't matter. You have to feel feel bad for their kids. KIds are only objects to them. Othwerise, if they truly loved theor kids, they wouldn't behave like they do and be such poor examples for them.
Congratulations dear Megyn for your excellent RU-vid show. ❤ Finally someone brave like you, speaking with knowing and intelligent. Also bringing up important issues like values and family, that the society worldwide has been losing since the past 30 years, changing that for money, vulgarity, superficially and decadence.
Everytime I go down this path of being judgy what other people do with their faces and bodies...I think of Dolly Parton. She just owns her choices and image and remains kind, giving, and down to earth.
From the time my granddaughter was 11 years old, the K Family influenced her through even as a senior in high school as all her friends were possessed with selfies and "likes" and cosmetics and sexual clothes. Girls ditched school to be in line when Kylie opened her cosmetic store in California. Their parents supported it thinking it was no big deal. I feel the K Family has ruined self-image and lifestyle for GenZ
If girls skip schools to buy expensive cosmetics then its must been very easy to pass exam and get a good job without much effort in states. We as Asian kids can't even think about it. Here people can loss a college seat or a good job for 0.01 marks.
We could say that about anyone Jayne Mansfield, Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, The film Rockey Horror picture show. Elizabeth Taylor and her cosmetic surgery. Unfortunately, it's not society's issue to instill your family's moral values of self worth ect. If that's the case we are all screwed!

Losing the beauty of youth is a price that one pays for more time. The most valuable currency of them all!! In so many cultures and societies, old age has been and is revered. This was a great conversation, I'm in agreement with the plastic surgery message. I was so, so tempted, too, but I'm generally ok with my decision not to.
I am a electrical test engineer that tests offices all over the UK. When I began my career in the 1990's every desk had photos of the persons family, pets, or locations across the world they had visited. Now when I visit an office all I see are pictures of themselves on their desks.
I've had that conversation with family & friends for years. That describes many of my female co-workers cubicle walls for the past 10 years or so. Not so much the men, they have a variety of interests. Sports, movies, toys, etc. What's even more cringe worthy is when I see people open their phones and there is a lone picture of that person staring back at themselves, no spouse, partner, kid(s), friend, dog, etc. Just brings to mind Narcissus of Greek mythology, who was in love with his own image reflected in a pool of water. Just a whole lot of people obsessed with their own image. True narcissists.
Speaking of the topic of plastic surgery and the late Queen Elizebeth II, can we please just stop to highlight the fact that she was beautiful in her younger years and had access to priceless jewels, gowns, castles and clothing. Although she had access to wealth most celebrities aspire to have, she allowed herself to age naturally. As a person who has grown up in Australia, a Commonwealth country of Britain, I noticed the coins, which feature the now late Queen's head varied depending on the date the coin was produced. I always questioned why they didn't just keep using your younger side profile portrait. But now as a woman myself now in my early 40s, I absolutely appreciate the fact our late Queen allowed her aging appearance to be depicted all over the world. As funny as it sounds, I wonder how Kim Kardashian would chose to feature on coins as she ages in her life? Would we constantly see the depiction of taught perfect plastic beauty standards? Personally, I admire the fact, whilst our Queen enjoyed the privileges and the lifestyle of royalty, she did in fact embody the most realistic natural beauty standards for women. She celebrated beauty in her youth, her middle age years, her senior years and her late senior years. Let's ensure beauty standards for all stages of life are celebrated and not constantly nipped, tucked, pulled, injected and photoshopped.
This is beautifully said. Hollywood especially sells this idea that women have an expiration date where they are no longer beautiful or desired yet men age like fine wine. The Queen could’ve done plastic surgery to hold off time but she didn’t. William could’ve tried to have surgery to keep his hair but he didn’t, they are embracing time and seem far happier then those clinging to youth
The Queen wasn't a celebrity was a leader, her career didn't depend on her looks..she didn't struggle being wealthy, its generational and the whole country pay for her lifestyle she didn't have to change a thing they would pay anyway. In beauty related business and celebrity carrier its a hard pay..the younger you look the longer you stay on the game..surgery wasn't invented by Kim..almost all Hollywood careered have surgery way before Kim was a baby. Most ladies on TV even news enchor has procedures done..the Queen had a safe career.
Megyn you nailed the huge problem created by the Kardashian’s. Narcissism and materialism to the millionth degree. I have no issues with success but these people’s desire to flaunt wealth and owning six million pairs of shoes, different cars for each day and endless clothing is truly distasteful.

Great show. I have been finding Madonna absolutely revolting with her pulled tight Lily white face. Somehow the beauty of age the kindness and wisdom that comes with a giving heart are pushed to the back for these narcissistic sociopathic women and I’m sure some men too. They are missing the point. We all get old and we all die no avoiding it. Enjoying the beauty of the mature years and what we can each give to the others is a blessing. Narcissism is a curse
Sadly we don’t all get old, only the lucky ones get to do that! Be grateful for those years, they are precious indeed, and not to be wasted vainly trying to regain lost youth.
You always look beautiful Megyn. And I commend you for your candour about having Botox. I also don't see anything wrong with choosing to have surgery for this or that on your face and neck, but when people deny it to try and convince people that they are an exception when it comes to aging like the Kardashian's, this is damaging to those whom are unaware and naive about the real facts. I’m 57 and I’ll never have my hair grey, but I’m a relatively nice person who doesn’t mind ageing just think I look better with blonde hair 🤷🏼♀️ Each to their own I say.
The Kardashians are who they are because of media. They keep pointing their cameras at them and writing articles on them and that's why we "know" about them and see them plastered everywhere. If media would just ignore them then they'd become "no big deal".
I noticed the photo of the crucified Christ behind Mr. Sullivan. Humility. Sacrifice. Service. Truth. Love. The Queen never forgot who she was truly serving.
@@Fullyautomagic Morning, Dylan. Jesus was not just the Messiah for Christians, but a historical figure. It's best you seek to answer this question yourself with an open mind and heart. Read C.S. Lewis, Henri Nouwen, The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel, The Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Jesus Before Christianity by Albert Nolan and of course, the New Testament. Good luck, Dylan. Thank you for responding to my comment.
