Ahoj Czesi ten wasz Karel to świetny artysta.

He sang in tchech for tchech people. At that time they didn't teach us english, so, not many could understand original words in english.... Artists in Poland also sang western songs in polish versions with different words, just because.... but this song introduced many people to Simon & Garfunkel, so don't be mad, he's already gone....😔
@@petersamiutenki what are you talking about? He spoke English, Russian and German. He was a bad person and always went were the money was. The original song is not even in English also… it was just a way to catch money. Simple, no respect on the other cultures.
@@carloscorminola6067 Did Paul Simon respected your culture by writing english words to it? Do his english lyrics reflect original meaning of this beautiful song? Aren't you proud that your music is famous around the world? People were doing covers of old songs for money, making modern versions of older songs and there is nothing we can do. Until 1989 our countries were outside of western music industry, and for loyalty reasons artists were recording versions in our native languages. That's a history man. Karel Gott rest in peace and I think we shouldn't fight for what he has done. I know that this song comes from native american people, it is beautiful song. And I am greatful for Karel Gott for introducing it to me in early 70s. Simon and Garfunkel version I have beard a few years later and I didn't like their singing. But, a decade later, when I could understand english, I did appretiate their version too. You know, music is an international language which speaks by itself, and I don't understand till today what Karel Gott sang, but I can understand what Paul and Art sang. Best wishes from Poland, brother❣🙂
