literally doing this exact thing, I just thought this should be a requirement to study Karen, but especially during this era, Which I believe was absolutely her prime!!!
The Clark Sisters are the greatest! Twinkie the best song writer in the world and each sister has their very own unique singing style. I love the Clark Sisters and I am so glad that the Lord gave Karen a 2nd chance! Mattie's hard work paid off because these women can sing!
That part where she breaks it down and sing-shouts "I wanna be able to walk right! I wanna be able to talk right..." my favorite part of this performance! 👏👏👏 Queen!
Time's change. she has been singing all her life. and you can sound the same as you did years ago it's not going to happen. she can still sing her but off. and that all I need. she dose her best at all times.
Back off...if this resonates with him for whatever reason...then it just does. One of my favorite moments of Karen came from a performance where she was SICK in. It's probable.
I also prefer her post-90's lighter sound too! It's more warm, sweet, and youthful. But what I like about 90s Karen is that she was more raw and ballistic..i.e. Take it By Force at Azusa. She would just go berserk. She'll still have her moments now when she REALLY feels like singing but overall more reserved now.
No, I disagree that she cannot sing the same. I have heard her take it back to that style. So, its her style of music that is changing. Now for voice changes Aretha would be one of those and it bring big tears to my eyes to hear her now.
Respects to Kiki where they are due...but she's not old enough to be a legend...sometimes people can go too far with their opinions...that was definitely an overstatement!
