so this just happened... this woman (if you know her please tag her. Sterling,VA) was cussing out the manager as she waited in line when we entered. Mind you Storm and i go here everyday and this cashier/manager is the sweetest. Once we got in line this was the exchange! 😂 please help me identify this woman, apparently she’s a regular....
getting a lot of questions, so let me preface;
upon walking in the store this woman was standing in line yelling because she had to wait in line. i told her just calm down, yelling about it won’t help. she had a few words for me and i walked off to get my stuff. i continued to hear her yelling so i circled back around and got in line behind her and began filming. the girl to the right was in line in front of her but stepped aside to allow this woman to check out faster. that’s what you hear her bitching about in the beginning, that the girl let her skip in line... some people....
EDIT; this is going more viral than anticipated. if you find this Karen please don’t harass her. I wish no ill will towards this wild karen, she just needs to be embarrassed into stopping this sort of behavior.

I’ve never met anyone who’s waived their Amex Platinum like that and used it as their status symbol. Anyone with decent credit can apply for one. Whether or not they want one is another story.

I had 3 different Platinum cards before I was 21 yrs old, and by no means was I from wealth. Lower middle class to be exact, working at Wal-mart while going to University.

There's a difference between an AMEX platinum card and every other banks "platinum card". All the others just use the name Platinum, but it is in fact their lowest level credit card. AMEX Platinum is a CHARGE card, meaning you pay off what you owe every month (like a debit card). It requires an excellent history, decent income, and there is a $550 annual fee. Other banks labeled "platinum card" have $0 annual fee and most don't have any rewards. Also they are credit cards, not charge cards. It's just to lure clueless people in thinking they have a "platinum card" and for newbies to build their credit. Regardless, even having an AMEX platinum doesn't necessarily mean you are rich.

The most debt you can run is one month. The platinum card is a charge card and not a credit card so the balance must be cleared each month.

i wasnt the 'manager' yet key holder MOD and working in cell phones i had this guy that was so pissed i could not access his acct with the ssn and number he gave me that he literally pointed his finger in my face told me to shut up and do what he tells me. so then i very politely told him that i feel this account is now compromised and he is trying to gain illegal access to it, that if he does not leave i will contact an account specialist and put a verification lock on the account where 'the proper owner' would have to travel to [city] which is ~45 min away from our current location with (2) forms of ID to unlock the account. He left!

@y'all be buggin A credit score of at least 700 though even then you have to be somewhat established for them to approve you. They’re not that hard to get though I don’t see why anyone would have one unless they spend tons of money. To make it worth the $700 annual fee. I have the green AMEX because it’s free in Canada and I get 1 point for every dollar spent.

lol!...amex platinum is not really hard to get....i had one a few years back while making only about 50K a year with a 760 fico...you dont have to make 100K a year to get it!.....i started with green card...had it for 1 year...and then they asked me if i wanted to upgrade with NO ANNUAL FEE first year!..i said sure!...but after paying that annual fee 2 times after the freebie year, i was breaking even...it wasnt really worth it to me!..( the fee was 495 back then....its like 700 now!).....a lot of people still think Platinum is a "im rich" card!....its a joke!.....the CENTURION card IS though!

There is no federal minimum age for alchohol it's left to the states(They don't get federal money for highways if they don't have the age at 21 but they could change it.). Most likely its a state law that requires proof of age to sell alcohol and this store's policy strictly enforces it.

I just started a new job at a gas station few weeks ago. Love the job but you aren't kidding. Not a very big city but not tiny. Just small enough to recognize at least one person everywhere you go type deal. So yeah...seeing people I've been acquaintances with for years, now having these piss poor entitled attitudes everyday when come for gas or whatever is just astounding. Like uhhh I know I'm behind a counter now but damn...still the same person that's always treated you respectfully. It is mind blowing to see this side of people so many people I thought I knew.

My job just entailed vacuuming and cleaning, none of the really dirty stuff. I was often bullied by my classmates for this. Once, I just had enough, and lost it. I said, “I make more money than you do working at the Dairy Queen, and I don’t smell like raw hamburger and grease!” They never taunted me again. Mind you, I think any honest job deserves respect, but they were just being jerks.

This is foolishness, using a Platinum Card for anything but travel is a waste. You will only get 1 point to the dollar. Better just to use a Citi Double Cash. I don’t even put my Platinum card in my wallet. It just gets used to offset the annual fee with the credits.

@Andrew Ortiz, I don’t disagree with that. It can be a little challenging to find a good deal using the Amex travel portal. But, it is possible if you really dig deep. You can usually find some pretty good deals on First Class, Business Class, and Premium Select Tickets when traveling internationally. But, again, it takes a little research, patience, and booking your tickets at the right moment (when there is a sale).

I’m obviously late, but thinking about what you said, I would applaud the Karen more than the camera man. Though she was a little off, she still remained fairly calm throughout the whole interaction and probably would’ve remained a lot calmer if the camera man wasn’t putting in his useless input and saying things like “facebooks about to see” and things like that.
