Ballet legend Karen Kain sat down with DCD to chat about her remarkable career. From her early inspirations (Lois Smith and Veronica Tennant) to her teachers (Daniel Seiller) to her mentors (Celia Franca, Erik Bruhn) and her partners (Frank Augustyn and Rudolph Nureyev). She also touches upon the challenges she encountered as a young dancer battling her shyness and insecurity and how, without the help of a supportive circle of peers, partners and mentors, she would never have achieved her dreams.
