Karen passed away on October 20, 2022, at the age of 78. Despite suffering from Alzheimer’s, she had a friendly smile for everyone to the end. A graduate of Bucknell University, Karen was a gifted artist, beautiful skier, avid golfer, antique enthusiast, animal lover, skilled carpenter, and devoted mom and grandma. She was outgoing and easygoing, quick to engage in chats with strangers and quick to giggle. Karen was proud of her kids, Tod and Jill, and her grandkids-Jamie, Cameron, Zoe and Natalia-who will miss her with all their hearts. Her parents, Edward and Gertrude "Dolly" Pike raised Karen in the Transfiguration Lutheran Church, along with her older brothers Donald and Norman.
Karen would be overjoyed to have her loving relatives reunited to celebrate her life: Jill and Benjamin Mann and kids from CT, Tod Johnson and Teresa Venturi from CO, Norm and Linda Pike from NC, Don and Elaine Pike from AZ, and many nieces and nephews. Tod and Jill wish to express their deepest gratitude to their dad, Richard Johnson, and their stepmom, Joyce, for all of their support during this difficult time.
