Difficult to imagine verdict other than 'Not Guilty', unless a recalcitrant juror has goal for mistrial *Question: in referring to a woman (especially one who's worked for decades as a professional, is old enough to have a few well-earned grey hairs): does the term "the girl" reek of utter contempt for any adult female? Maybe worse than vulgar curses. Obviously skumm-bag proctor and company giggled at using countless vulgarities in their exchanges about Karen Read; but i could almost imagine jenny mccabe in that group using those words. But from my perspective as an adult man, who has worked for decades (and co-parented with) adult women, isn't it especially demeaning for a man to call a woman 'the girl'? Im not a nice or sensitive dude, but strive to show proper respect to people. Plus im from NYC, where a woman might just cut a dude's balls off for referring to her as "the girl". If I were defense counsel, knowing jury is majority women (as is Her Honor Auntie Bev), the one additional tactic I'd employ would've been to hammer every reference to Read as 'the girl', pausing for a split second to make eye contact with women (and men) on jury, and maybe even Bev, to hit that this derogatory reference as emblematic of the entire police investigation.

You know how John Okeefe was killed? There was a fight in the basement. I believe it was between Colin and John or Brian and John possibly. Most likely all three. During the commission of this fight the dog attacked. This happened to me, sort of. My husband and I got into a fight once where we were yelling at each other. I moved towards my husband in what OUR dog perceived as aggressive and he moved towards me growling. Clearly he thought of himself as my husband’s dog/protector. It was startling to us both. He didn’t bite me but he clearly was protecting my husband by growling and moving towards me. If I had made a move he would have attacked, I guarantee it! The German shepherd did the same thing, but actually attacked because it was a physical altercation. I think they dumped the body on the law with the intent of blaming the snowstorm/snow plow/etc. My husband doesn’t believe with how men act that John left that house alive. I wonder if John somehow got out alive but ended up passing out from his injuries and freezing and dying from the brain swelling. My theory actually makes more sense to me because they may have thought he was alive, just badly beaten not thinking they killed him. I think the google search did happen and it was with realization he had passed out on lawn. When the body was discovered, I truly only think a couple or maybe 4 people knew what had actually happened. But to their luck, their house wasn’t searched, they weren’t questioned and Karen just happenstance became the scapegoat. It was a collusion of people not doing their jobs, looking the other way, doing some favors, etc but not some massive conspiracy. It only takes a couple people to have a conspiracy and then side players to not question too deep to make this a crime to get away with. Those are dog bites, without a doubt. John’s head injuries were from some sort of beating. Also, my husband said that those Albert men and their connections would be intimidating to even seasoned Canton police officers. It’s easier to just go along to get along. MA is a very VERY corrupt state, we’ve lived there. These small towns and all their townies look out for each other, it’s like a different world. Karen was smart, pretty and an outsider. She fell in their lap when this all went down but they couldn’t stand her to begin with (trust me on this! I was an outsider) so it was the perfect fall guy/gal!

You know what happened? He and Karen were not getting along, and he saw the texts and was intending to confront Albert. She dropped him off and he did just that. She may have had an idea that an altercation was going to occur and that the texts were seen.

I love when closing arguments happen, because it sounds so much better when it is put together & makes more sense of everything, I still think defense won I really don't think Karen at all did this, John's arm definitely looks like a dog attack & his face was beaten up just by the looks & how John's brother said it was when he went to the hospital to see him as he said during his testimony, , maybe John didn't go in the house Maybe John was beaten up on the front lawn & the dog attacted John & John passed out in the snow cause he was beaten up so bad & John then frozed to death with having hypothermia & the Alberts & the McCabes knew what had happened & they all tried covering it up. Bottom line they all were involved & knew & they all lied, they all knew they would all be held accountable , Trooper Proctor knew the families & Trooper Proctor Hated Karen & Trooper Proctor Tampered with the evidence & made it look like it was Karen that did this. Trooper Proctor Tampered with the whole investigation, one thing, is, The Judge is very Biased she always sustains everything, she always rushes everything, she always has an attitude, I don't care very much for this Judge.. She should of been removed.. I believe Karen is definitely 100% not guilty & all the ones involved should be charged All made up twisted lies from the witnesses for the state how ever the real story is It's likely no one will ever know what really happened, That's John's story to tell & He's not alive to share it, R.I.P. & if I was Karen after this is over, I would file a civil suit & sue them all. & reading some comment's people couldn't possibly watched this whole trial, People are just guessing stuff as you hear it. Lol I been watching from the very beginning John's O'Keefes family testified in the beginning , they think too that this was a cover up. People need to read & understand the whole story before just guessing & assuming & Karen was drunk dialing John that night Just cause they had issues & an argument that night they all used that against her.. one of the thimg along with everything else Just cause she was drunk so they all thought They all tried to pin this all on her be cause of Jealousy & hatred, but before she knew John was dead if Karen knew John was dead she would not of texted John that many times. With people just assuming without even been following this story & trial, People would just send anyone to prison This is a woman's life on the line I bet though when Karen is found not guilty, Karen doesn't drink anymore & Proctor should of been fired immediately Karen has great lawyers especially Karen's lawyer Jackson from California & I read Karen spent Thousands & thousands just on. Lawyers fees & fighting for her life.

Jackson's closing, straight out of a hollywood movie. Not saying it's not spot on, but very dramatic. Didn't expect anything less from this stellar defense team. I'm more interested in hearing the CW closing to see how they're going to squirm their way around all the lies were uncovered (mostly by their own prosecution witnesses). There's no way to deny reasonable doubt, mainly due to the shoddy investigation. She maybe guilty of manslaughter and DUI but JO's family will not see justice.

The prosecutor's case has more holes than a kitchen strainer. The defense has done a fabulous job in creating reasonable doubt. We may not like these people, but justice needs to be served and the jury should have acquitted Karen R.

This is a murder trial, the victim is a cop and the state only needed one visit to the podium.... they normally go first, then defense then state rebuttal to defense closing.....
