There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with the lady in story 2. And that mother in story 5 is an abuser as well as the boy exhibits obsessive and controlling behavior. I hope OP got FAR away from them.
What the hell?! Story number 5 that guy is a stalker and OPs mom is enabling him. Op needs to start planning her escape by collecting all of her legal documents and saving money. Also, buying her own phone and phone plan.
Story 4: Seriously, what is with people demanding things from strangers just because their kid is bored, then to lie about it as well? No one owes anyone anything. It’s not for a stranger to entertain someone else’s kid, that’s the job of the parent. I swear, ever since the 90’s, a lot parents as well as kids have gotten lazier, with parents forgetting how to parent. No morals, discipline, and a whole lot of enabling.
the brother in the last story: 27 and still living at home. No car Staying up most of the night watching movies. Likely no job or going to school either. Cant't be bothered to write out his own list or even dictate one to his sister. Big L on the forehead.
I worked for a company that sold tvs and audio equipment in a PX. At Christmas time parents would sit their kids in front of the tvs and leave to go shopping, expecting me to babysit their kids. I told the parents I'm not responsible for their kids. I did keep an eye on them when I could, but if the kid was sitting in my area for over 15 minutes, I called the MPs. Some parents left their 2 year old in front of the tvs at Christmas. This particular store didn't have a vendor. The poor kid climbed up on the TV and pulled it over on himself. He died of suffocation because he couldn't breath. The parents didn't even show up for 2 hours after the kid was found. The parents tried to sue the company.
