Chicken story: This reminded me of how much my older daughter loved her chicken legs as a young child. Two incidents stand out (both occurred when she was 3-1/2 to 4 years old): 1) We were at a dinner to honor a couple on their 50th wedding anniversary. It was a very casual affair so she was happily wandering about with her chicken leg tightly clutched in her chubby little hand, when an acquaintance of her father's and mine slipped up behind her, leaned down and said, "I am going to take that chicken!" She whirled around and whacked him as hard as she could in the temple and glared at him with a look that could curdle milk. He looked up at me and said, "I guess I shouldn't have done that!" I replied, "Yeah, you got off light this time." 2) This time we were at a potluck on the beach and, once again she had her beloved chicken leg tightly gripped. There were other children there, many of whom were holding on to their own chicken legs. Then the seagulls came... they met their match when they tried to snatch my little girl's chicken! She was the only child who did not lose her food to them! Thank you, Krown, for the stroll down memory lane. 😊🥰👑❤️🌻
Your daughter sounds like my little sister, Jenny. There were certain foods one did NOT take from her, drumsticks being one of them. One didn't even joke about it. She passed away, but left so many good memories.
The story about the young man with Tourette's Syndrome: I'd like to offer my sincere empathy/sympathy to you. You seem to handle it well, and your father is stellar! Back to you, young man. Has anyone ever told you that you have a great, raw talent for writing? Your words flow like a gentle creek, and visuals of the locations, the encounters with the not-nice woman, and your father's reactions were so detailed in my mind's "eye", that it seemed like I was actually there seeing all that occurred. Idk what you do/want to do as far as a career is concerned, but I would not be surprised if you are a journalist, novelist, or are in any career in writing! 👏👏👏🙌✍️🎉❤✍️
I also suffer from Tourettes Not a fun partner Very oft misdiagnosed Attention seeking A habit Will grow out of it All the BS one can think of Leads to teasing ostrosizing and bulling Nowadays people are more aware of it and what it entails but sadly there are those who refuse to understand its uncontrollable and there is no cure for it - yet Please look it up and see what it is all about
S4 OP's father defended his son. The right thing to do. Applause But later on, it WAS NOT necessary for him to interfere. Qaren was having a meltdown with security surrounding her. They would have handled her tantrum or called the cops. They are paid to do their jobs. (Whether the pay is adequate to deal with a crazy Qaren, they have to decide, not us)
Very interesting tales. Tourette's is an amorphous neurological condition. It's not just intermittent cursing and several other conditions might cause such. I suspect that OP of that tale has been very careful in learning communication over the years and it really shows in this post.
Not necessarily, the name of an actress Ruby Rose, who shares her name with a cartoon character, isn’t pronounced that way. So in this case it could be either Rose or Rosay.
