You need to tighten up your drag some or play the fish more. When your reeling in line and hearing the drag with a spinning reel your twisting up your line.

Some of those rainbows had some beautiful coloring. That's awesome you went and enjoyed some fishing. I don't know how much you trout fish, but people should really be more careful handling them if you plan to release it. They most likely will die after pulling them along the ground, grabbing them with dry hands , and dropping them. Might as well keep it and eat it.

Stuck in college rn, love trout but man do I hate when a park stocks them right at the boat launch. The parks make up rules like this not for safety but for monetary reasons (to make the fishing suck so that you have to pay more often to catch the same amount). If you ever go back, bring a watercraft or some waders so they can’t get mad you with their logic.

Ahhh finesse fishing in cold water. One of my favorite things to do. I usually would use a black worm on a Texas rig and just take my time and have fun and feel it. And you know it's cold. They're not as active so you guys sort of entice them. So like your style my friend

May friend, you don’t filet a small trout. Cook it in a foil pouch, low and slow. Leave the head on. When it’s done, eat the cheeks, grab the head and all the bones come out. Nothing but tender moist meat. Don’t filet a small trout.

What's shoreline laws there. Where I am any shoreline is conservation property and as long as you can access the water from public property 25 feet from the water is public property and you can fish. Even if there are fences or docks if you can wade wader sound the fence you can fish it.

Nice to hear you using barbless hooks but you shouldn't take them out of the water to unhook them. Trout are delicate fish and just taking them out of the water can kill them.

I thought you could fish public waters as long as you don’t fish off docks which are privately owned but land ends at the shore unless you pay buku to own the water around the dock, especially in a stocked lake.

Hemet, Corona, Puddingstone, Perris, Skinner. I've been to all these lakes for these fight then die stocker trout. Sometimes even upon release they still kick the bucket. Got to keep them all, because once hooked and landed, they almost always die, then turn different colors. Keep em, or feed the seagulls. Fishing in the ghetto! It be ruff as shit ya'll! Yeah man! Tie your line to the dock. Loosen drag and start reeling. What happens? Nothing, because your drag can't move the dock however, you're twisting your line on the reel which makes casting the light lures difficult because the twisted line doesn't flow through the rod eyes freely. I get it that you guys are having some innocent fun participating in an age old sport, but that doesn't mean you can't learn a thing or two. You've got one life, try it all and learn a little along the way. Good on you for not participating in the smack with the entitled gal, smack never does any good except leads to trouble. I subscribed because it doesn't cost me a thing and maybe helps people out.
