She does. I saw her and a band perform for tips at a bar in Nashville in 2015. She would take song requests from the crowd, then look up the lyrics online, sing and play the guitar. They were not all country songs. We were only passing through on a road trip and I didn't want to leave. I don't even listen to country really, but she can sing.
She picked a great energetic song and brought the smooth vocal to it. Loved her gentle, easy stage presence, working the crowd and delivery big and small moments. Like she's a Pro!
Thank you for singing this song. It is one of my favorites and has always touched my soul. But tonight just a few days after learning a best friend passed away, unexpectedly, the tears won't stop flowing. 😢😢❤ 🙏Good luck the rest of the way you deserve this!!! ❤
Known of her for over ten years. She is head and shoulders above all the ones getting all the attention by Nashville jerks of today. She isn't pure country but she is a very good singer with good stage presence. She doesn't fit the cookie cutter mold that nashville promotes. Hear her sing once and you will always recognize the voice.
What a great presentation Karen Waldrup, now you are in the big leagues, I am very excited and with Reba you have a great teacher, you are the voice and you will win!!!
Agreed! I'm a huge fan of hers for a few years. She has lots of great covers like She Talks To Angels, I Hope You Dance, Harper Valley, Amazing Grace, Fancy, When Will I Be Loved, etc. I also love her original songs as well.
Well I know who I'm rooting for awesome lady been a fan of hers for ten years and she even invited my daughter to hang out with her while she did a local news show in little rock ....
Well done Karen. You smashed this performance with a great vocal and song choice. I had the pleasure of meeting and having a chat to you when you played in Omagh, Northern Ireland last year. Wishing you the best of luck for the next round. I will be keeping my fingers crossed ☘️
I am a huge Karen fan! She chose a perfect song choice at the right time, was having a blast, she deserved those chair turns. I wish she was a four chair turn but I don't think John and Chance would know what to do with them. I'm just surprised that John said she wasn't his thing considering he had Bailey who was a country singer on his team. Karen has a ton of fantastic covers and originals as well. She can sing the phonebook and make the finale.
@@ShowtuneSamplerthat’s you opinion. Not everyone else’s. I won’t stand for your aggressive trolling on behalf of your views and against others’ and I hope no one else will either!
Hey Karen, great job there girlfriend!!!!! It's a damn shame that Reba got blocked by Dan + Shay, but I'm excited to see how far you'll go sweetie!! To think that, at one time, you were doing singing videos on Facebook Live, and now you've come full circle mamacita!! Best of luck to you darlin!!!!! MUAH!!!!!🙂💋❤️
Dan + Shay: Sorry. You hate to see it Reba. Bye bye, bye bye my Reba, bye bye! Reba: Paybacks! Paybacks! John: Oooooh! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Dan + Shay: Welcome to Team Dan + Shay! Reba: Can you believe this? Chance: Ohhhhh! I didn't see! John: Vengeance! Dan + Shay: Vengeance is sweet!
My teacher is actually the guitarist for Karen and he says she is such a amazing person and is wonderful to work with and he has worked with many top artists
Reba can't be too happy getting blocked twice. I could hear Karen doing a Fleetwood Mac song like Dreams. He tone is beautiful, and her stage presence was excellent.
I've never agreed with the addition of the blocking option for coaches; if the show is really meant for the competing artists, they shouldn't have any of their choices for coach eliminated before they ever get a say. If, by chance, Karen felt her own career would have benefited most under the tutelage of Reba, then she was robbed of a tremendous opportunity (with no disrespect intended toward Dan + Shay). But I think it really became evident just how scripted the show is when in The Battles no one picked up Ryan Argast after he and Karen performed. Ryan clearly out-performed a few of the other artists who were selected to continue. I once believed the "talent contest" shows were mostly an exception to the worst kept secret in television about "reality tv" actually being heavily-scripted and creatively-edited. Now I no longer believe there is any integrity to these shows either, which makes me feel very bad for all of the artists involved (coaches included).
