I started my musical journey with this Live set. I remember first time i heard this in age of 15/16, I decided to write music and be musician. After 9 years this live set is still banging and still bigest inspiration. Thanks Blawan and Pariah for this masterpiece
Dark room, moving set, sick vibe, epic artists, everyone dancing while being off their face... That makes every single killed brain cell absolutely worth it. Shit's pure love!
For everyone who has been waiting for so long and still here - their new set from Boilerroom Stockholm coming soon, I was there live and it was INCREDIBLE. Going to be one more legendary set without a doubt
Same as you, year after year it's still my favorite techno set (and I listen to techno music so much less than in my prime lol) and in my any music styles top 10, easy.
Those of you wanting a tracklist may have to wait a while. This is a live production set in which most (if not all) of the music is experimental or improvised. Most will be unreleased as of yet if ever at all. A true treasure.
+Legs Larry That s true. The fact is that lots of "live set" are nowadays not live set but just a succession of tracks from the producers who is just playing with his effects during the set... Not more. Not less). So, for those who do not know it, it seems normal that they think that THIS liveset is just a mix of track. We know that it is not the case with karenn.
Never knew that techno could sound so good... don't get me wrong I kinda like minimal but holy shit I've never heard something so raw and intense as this. This is superior to any "techno" set I've ever heard
My grandma wanted to hear what kind of music they play in the techno clubs in Bucharest and I showed her this video because we don't really put stuff from underground parties here on RU-vid. She was like "this music is lovely, my dear, but don't they play any tango or waltz over there?".
he was barefoot too, sick guy. how could you miss such a guy! he told me a few things, I learned something that day. wish I knew who he was. Think we should go viral and find him
+Euripide Ingham - (57:30) I cut it out of the set and uploaded it on Soundcloud Search "Kasper van der Hoofd" on soundcloud soundcloud.com/16315/karenn-id-boiler-room-london
OMFG, I think I heard this set about 50 times now throughout the years, but that final track starting at 57:30 is pure genius improv-style. Only few producers could even produce this after months of hard work on their DAWs. These guys simply drop it like a bomb in an improv!
Stopped listening to techno around 2006. These guys just might cause me to start again. Reminds me of every great act around 200-2004, 2005., like Liebing, Speedy Jay, or Technasia. Fantastic stuff.
Amaaaaazing!! I am completely mindblown by this!! How is it even possible for them to control all those complicated machines (so many knobs and wires!) and produce this coherent mesmerizing sound? All of it while improvising! Almost every minute of their liveset is better than 90% of the techno music I normally hear. It's pure evil genius! I hope to one day understand how they pulled this off
Black Acid your right . When I got into techno bailey, may ,Clarke, liebing , Beyer , lekebusch, Rachmad etc . These are quality. Not many are this good
@@AirBallers31 Aha. Thanks for that. I did find a site where (obviously the audio-quality isn't good, but...) you can download the audio from a RU-vid upload, so I can download this audio and in Audacity go to the 8:00 timestamp and turn it into an mp3-track haha. Thanks. I just call it "Unknown". 🙂
I've so much jealousy for those that got to hear the ending live. Only those people will ever know what that song truly sounds like - the rest of us can just speculate. While it's annoying that we'll never hear this released, it reminds us of why techno live performance exists in the first place - to create moments like these that are temporary and exclusive.
I hear you but it is hard to compare these guys to most other Techno "live" performances. This is all done on the spot, pure improv with some serious hardware, whereas others press a play button on their laptop. :P
