I am 63 years old and I have tears in my eyes. I have lost 3 close relatives fighting the Pakistanis. And one who survived but lost both legs (he was in the bomb disposal unit of the Indian Army) in 1971.

Proud moment my Dad also fought kargil war.. that time i was in play group.... I feel so proud that m his daughter ! Hats off to all the Kargil heros !!
It takes courage to sacrifice your life for your country. But once you are up there, you are in a peaceful place. But it takes unimaginable amount of courage to sacrifice and lose your sons or daughters for your country. You have to live with it, with a strong heart and wishing his sacrifice will make this country a better place. What else do you have but a feeling of pride and some memories.
I love all the mothers who has this unconditional love for thier children and seeing her being so strong I salute to her. God loves you and everyone in this planet.
Captain Vijayant thapar was an alumni of my school. We have a corner dedicated to the martyrs of kargil war who were from my school in the Main office of the school and there were a lot martyrs from my school. I always had goosebumps when i stood in front of their photos. Captain Vijayant was named after a tank and history is the evidence he fought like a tank too.

It's the most sweetest thing I watched.. and I can relate.. cuz my father was in army and most amazing thing was that my dad was too in the kargil war and I was born at the same time.. so he didn't knew I was born only after the war ended he came back... And was so happy.. like he tells me everyday I am his reward for the war .. and my whole family was happy for my dad's return from the war and my birth ... I am a proud Indian brat !
The fact that Indian won that battle is enough to prove the capabilities of Indian army . Every odds were against our soldiers, They were on mountains and could see everything so clearly that they shot one soldier through eyes ., USA was against us , So was britain . Yet that did't stop them from winning it and that too with fewer casualties( P.S-Casualities are never less ) than their enemy

My grandfather is in the Indian Army. He fought five wars. My baba (grandfather) retired on 2nd February 1965. He is in 18 grenadier and serves for 18 years in Battle ground. He serves Indian Army from 1939-1965. Now he is 98 year young man and I love him more than anything. #proudIndian #Himachalpradesh
i am so happy to see you guys remembering one of our country`s martyr hero! i thank you from the bottom of my heart !i also have four generations of army background, my great grand father died in 1st WW as a lancer, my grand father fought 2nd WW and he was one of the only three indians who got the military cross, he retired as a captian in indian army , then my father fought the 65, 71, ipkf wars and retired as a colonel in 91, and then my brother who also retired as a colonel in 2018, and he fought kargil, encountered three terrorists in kashmir, got battle injured two fingers and thumb of left hand blasted while throwing back a grenade which was thrown on his troop by the mujhahdeen but still handling the attack with his troops and killing the terrorists. army flows in our veins :) i again thank you for such a heart touching vlog !
