It's very unfortunate to see how the pressure of Parents get transfered to children at such young age.. To prove and to show Just coz parents didn't have the courage to take stand for thier children in their family and in front of society as well.. Very Sad to see how much children have to go through sometimes at such young age..coz of parent's mindsets and believes

Coz she is straight forward, honest. That's why people judged her. This is bitter truth. If she would have been like sweet sweet cute cute nautanki type people would have fallen for her. Ex: Nautanki Shehnaj and Tejaswi 🙄

I don’t like how she is tagging Gujarati families and generalising. Gujaratis are the most forward thinking, accepting and supportive families. Yes there are orthodox families but not in Gujaratis only they’re there in all communities alike in India and abroad. Gujaratis like this comment for establishing this fact.

My parents aIso used to watch kyon ki and they both loved the character Indu. The way she used to call Baa was really really so funny. I have also lost my father, so I can undertand what she was going through during the interview when was talking about her father. I feel she is a very genuine person from heart. God bless you.

Same thing happened with me, my father when he came to know that a girl is born, he and his family even refused to pay the hosbital billa and didnt even accepted me and my mom for 6 months. My mom was left alone in the hospital with so much pain. I cant even imagine how can a husband leave his own wife in the hospital to just die out of pain.

I liked everything that Karishma said except for the fact that she pointed out "Gujarati" families as orthodox in general. I am a Gujju woman, born and raised in an upper middle class joint family, having an elder sister as my only sibling, with extremely loving, supportive and proud parents as well as grandparents. Gujaratis are very warm and generous. Conservative mindset is present in a section of individuals belonging to different (in fact all) castes. It's unfortunate that Karishma faced sexism and had to witness patriarchy but I hope she embraces and feels proud of the Gujarati culture which is very vibrant, giving and amazing in more ways than one!
