50 in 52 Journey interview of Karl Hammer, Director of the Vermont Compost Company. Watch this video to see how Karl, who was interested in manure since he was a young child, is now making compost from food residuals of business all over his state and sending the compost out all over the country; and using free range hens in the process.

We have to get going on this. This makes so much sense that it should be duplicated in every community all over the world. Honestly, what are we waiting for?

This makes me happy...true free range. I quit eating eggs because it's so cruel what they do to animals. I used to have chickens and I really like them esp the Bantam. Thank you 👍💖💛💖

"A squeamish society" You have got that right..people would rather throw their food scraps in the garbage, than make a compost, because of that discomfort or inconvenience of the natural rotting/breaking down process of food. So much of the issue comes from a privileged, out of sight, out of mind mentality.

How wonderful, let it be done world wide. We need HEMP to replace so many things including fuel.

Depends upon how many you want to eat! Cockerels are what is known in Grocery Stores as "FRYERS".
