Karl gets told the second ever largest complaint to the BBC was Ann Robinson slagging off the Welsh and Karl immediately proceeds to slagging off Wales lol.
+kurumais ya, its like he's struck gold everytime karl comes out with one of his stories! lol I cant get enough of Karl either tho ive always loved strange ppl and kind of collected them and when we would be together I would just be waiting for them to do or say something crazy ...and if everyone else was boring I would say something right off the wall just to see their reactions...its funny as hell. I don't do that anymore tho kinda grew out of it!
Ricky's laugh is so contagious. Even if I'm only half listening and I hear him start cackling, it makes me laugh, too. And it's clear he's nothing wrong with his lungs with the way he's able to exhale so forcefully.
I'm a Welsh man!!! Lol. And Karl is pretty accurate on many aspects, everyday Is like Sunday! Lol. Wonder where bouts they live? I'm in the S. Wales valleys pretty near Cardiff. Going there is like going to another planet if I'm honest yeah.....??
who hasn't karl stitched up on radio? his dad...steve...suzanne....autine nora....the naked trampolining chinese kid.... tattoo stan.... the builders... his boss....
+MalenkyGoblin Something in the podcasts gave me the impression his mum may have died between the Xfm show airing and the Podcast or while the Podcast was airing. He mentions his dad picking up a prescription for his mum and refers to her in the past tense more than once, something he didn't do when the Xfm show aired. Karl's folks were a bit older when they had him, his brother was grown, in and out of the army and married by the time Karl was 8, so I imagine both his folks may be passed on, by now. If they were interviewed while they were living I have yet to find the interview (I have a special place in my heart for Karl's mum. My mum pet bees, too.).
FUCKING HELL KARL HAHAHA. Hes exactly like me when I took a shit in my nappy when I was little I would go in a corner and my Dad would piss himself laughing from the couch HAHAHAH MADE MY DAY
Sadly as a Welsh person I have to agree, in terms of GDP and household income Wales is quite behind everywhere else in Western Europe. Although the difference between somewhere like Cardiff and the Valley's, the West the North is incredible. It's like another country.
It's more broad than 'told on', it's more like 'got them in trouble', 'dropped them in it' - doesn't necessarily need to be telling tales or telling on them - just deliberately engineering any situation where someone else is 'found out' or caught doing something they shouldn't.
Yes in context, but the phrase alone means set up for something. You can set someone up to take the blame for something if you knew someone was going to get them in trouble. Tattling would be actually putting them in trouble. One sets up for future one has effect in the present.
Yeah i suppose if you stitch someone up you make them accountable for something. That can be used to describe scenarios both when they had done something as well as if they hadn't. Doesn't quite mean tattled on though
Karl's brother was right about pointless sex scenes in movies. Most often than not it's just not necessary. It's not integral to the plot and is obviously just there to draw in more viewers.
Steve Steve hypercritical Steve , soooo many episodes i hear you pay out on Karl , but as soon as the tables are turned you get all pissy . don' t dish it out if you can't take it .
yeah, i agree with you that they're different because they are, all im saying is that they're fairly interchangeable solely on context, but yeah, i agree with what you say.
