Karl Urban is VERY committed to playing pranks on his co-stars. Watch this clip from Fan Expo 2019 in Toronto as he talks about pranking Simon Pegg and Viggo Mortensen.
"Look, I don't what you've heard, or what you've been told, but I don't own a goat farm! Can we just talk about my new movie now, pleeeeease? Look, I got money, take money!" LMFAO the best.
Best 2000 AD movie. (Not a large sample) Karl nailed it as JD. The movie itself was decent and only failed because the execs felt it lacked financially against The Raid. It just shows that movie execs do not understand fans expectations and that fans expectations would make a lot more money for studios if execs did not get paid ridiculous salaries for taliking complete tripe. Bottom line, listen to your fans. Middle management are only there to enrich themselves at everyone else's expense. Greed is only good when it it fills your own pockets. Greed is much, much better if it fills everyone's pockets and puts much more lucre in your own.
Karl said he was a fan of the comics, a big fan. That means the helmet stays on. He knew how to portray dredd, he also looked exactly like the character face from doom .
dredd was the shit .... why it didnt get better promotion and more movies is beyond me ... and if you wanna see the real dredd get hold of the graphic novel comics 2000AD .. and all the storys in that are epic rogue trooper dredd .... there are tons and its all dark and nasty i love it
Being able to play pranks on your bros at this scale where the punchline makes national news on tv must be the funnest thing ever aside from playing a dozen action heros 😂
Karl Urban is one of those actors who can do no wrong, every performance is spectacular and he was the highlight of the Doom movie with the rock, he blended so well into Eomer i didnt realize it was him until i was about 16, his judge dread was fantastic and of course our dear potty mouthed friend Butcher, ill watch any project with that man in it
I think it's better that they didn't interrupt him speaking. Nobody applauded the mention of LotR either. There was a very tame "Woo!" when he mentioned Viggo but that's it.
@@johnwilliamson8556 Hugh Jackman isn't really too old for the role at this point, I think he just feels like he had a perfect run and ending with Logan, and doesn't feel the need to revisit it.
@@johnwilliamson8556 how is that a problem? They could literally do a prequel they could literally do anything in MCU in terms of the Wolverine they don't have to start where the film Logan ended they literally start their own films for that particular character. Same goes for a Fantastic Four most people don't realize both reboot of Fantastic Four was not part of the Marvel Studios it was separate companies it had the Marvel logo but it was not part of any MCU franchise! I say original because a lot of people don't realize in 1970 there was a Spider-Man movie there was a Fantastic Four movie there was a doctor strange movie and there was a Captain America movie but but these movies were not popular most people don't even remember it. A couple years ago when they said that the actor who played Spider-Man died they were talking about the Spider-Man from 1977 later down the road it was discovered that even the artist for Spider-Man died as well, not lee.. Stan Lee was the creator but he had an artist who did the drawings of Spider-Man
He is top teir. Best Karl Urban scene is Forth Eorlingas from lotr. Buther is perfect, Scurge is hilarious, Dredd is a respectable reboot, and he is an even better than origanal Bones from Star Trek. But as a big Lord of the Rings fan he was born to play Eomer. What a great actor.
I can't believe a New Zealander could be a shitty person. I'm talking about the actor playing Homelander. Not even his 1st assault and now he's done it again.
Karl Urban. He played Eomer, Doctor McCoy, Judge Dredd, Billy from The Boys, and Skurge The Executioner. How many guys can say they played so many different characters from so many different franchises?
Weirdly enough this is a true story. I went back and looked it up and apparently it did made the news here in Spain, although most reports about it didn't buy the goat farm story and just reported it as a fun thing he insisted on to mess with Viggo Mortensen. But I've found one from a "serious" newspaper which reported the thing about him spending the next day at his friend's farm as if it was 100% real.
I was just looking at Antony Starr this whole time. The way he was moving his head, eyes and mouth. It felt like an actual homelander was sitting there.
That is frickin' legendary as a prank! HILARIOUS!!! (Although I'm certain the press in Spain will never, ever trust a word out of Karl's mouth again. BUT WORTH IT!!!)
Bruh I grew up absolutely loving lord of the rings trilogy and I just now connected the dots that Karl urban was theodins nephew (I think) Eomer with the rohirrim 🔥 that’s dope. I always knew that face was so damn familiar lol
My favorite thing about this show is the fact the dude's name is Hughie and is pronounced just like my last name "Huey". I feel like they're calling my name everytime they say it in the show.
@@garbuz3324 I think if you do books 1 & 2 together, and then the rest on their own it could work. Wizard and Glass could sort of be interwoven as flashbacks throughout the whole series.. and maybe the last book gets broken into 2 parts. A TV series could work, but let's face it, Stephen King miniseries do not have a good track record.
