There's plenty of depressed teachers like him in real life. If you don't like teaching, find another profession.

He has no understanding of Autism and how to deal with somebody who has Autism. He saw Karla as just been some cheeky madam so he just shouts at her causing a meltdown and rather than try and calm her down he makes things worse for the poor girl resulting in her hitting him. I felt sorry for poor Karla. Steph was also not better calling her rainman and not giving her meds cause in her eyes it wouldn't made the difference when it's clear it would made that bit of difference. Eddie was right to scoff at her been pastoral of care.

haha he was so funny cause he was grumpy all the time. I think he preferred the old methods of teaching with the cane he just hates kids. Makes you wonder why he became a teacher haha

@Will Gisby I totally agree with you if I was on the scene I would of said that Karla isn't going anywhere you started this and I'm finishing it and there's no way you could do to stop it do you understand you did enough damage for one day

It is a bit inconsistent but I guess Karla felt Davina was only trying to help her and she spoke calmly out loud. Sometimes tone can make them decide more something. If someone spoke to me like that I would be thinking more frantically. Where as if Davina spoke her words to me like she did it wouldn't alarm me at all and I'd be focused. I have aspergers as well BTW.

Legit, there were some aspects of the later series that I quite liked but u can tell that there’s a massive shift, as much as I love the series I’m glad that they ended it because I feel like it would have only gotten worse

It died when Grantley died.

It was never the same after Rachel Mason and a few other great characters left at the end of season 5. It might be partly because of my age, season 5 aired when I was in sixth form (I'm the same age as Karla, Bolton, Phillip, etc) I never warmed to Karen Fisher, although it did pick up a bit later when people like Michael and Christine were in it, but I found it harder to relate to in later years.

Aspergers. A sign of it is they take every little detail literally.
