My team was #1 on MW3 GB Variant ladder and now two of them are married with children and the other is a drug dealer. All my IRL friends suck at COD and I was pretty much the best player I knew so I went solo to this day :( feelsbadman

I feel like it was so much easier to make it back then. Just to have been there before anyone else. Once these guys who were good cemented themselves as pro back then, all they had to do to keep pro status was play people closet o their skill level and adapt whenever the teams tried to one up each other. This made everyones skill level rise and thats what I believe the reason is for 85% of the pros being the same people for the whole time MLG has been a thing. You get the occasional breakthroughs over the years, but since BO2 the only ones I can think of off the top of my head are Octane, TJHaly, Huke, Temp, Gunless, Prestinni, Arcitys, Xotic, Colechann, Blaztful, Lacefield, Assault, Silly, Havok, the E6 team (which were only really good when they were together back in AW), Faccento, Aqua, Remy, and Nagafen. Seems like a lot when listed but 22 people in four years makes for 5.5 new pros a year. This isnt really that shocking considering once a year some new unheard of team comes up but the chances of being on that team are literally 4 in millions.

I can remember on AW I really wanted to go pro but it’s just not easy you have to put all your energy and compassion into the game.

Probably thousands of talents players but aren't popular/aren't confident or might not have the money to make it a reality. Just believe in yourself and put in the work and the results will show I promise. But please don't be those types of guys that think their better than everyone and thinks they deserve it

I do want to become COD pro. Unfortunately for me, I been through tough times when I was a kid. I had parents on my back, telling me focus on school to much, and I was broke. My dad didn't even buy me a gaming console. I had to save money all on my own. It took me years to save just to get a gaming console with COD. I was deep broke back then. Of course there is member ship to play online. After I spent all that money, I played COD offline, and played with A.I. bots. It was boring as shit.

This makes me regret not sticking with it way back in 2008. Got a lot of chances to play with former pros in scrims and PCL matches. I'm nowhere near Karma's level but still feel like maybe I could have had a few decent wagers under my belt.

That ending hit me hard. Having to choose between gaming with close friends and grinding comp with similarly skilled players can really suck sometimes. Like you either piss off your friends or you miss out on improving. It's why I quit COD a few years ago (besides just not enjoying it too much) but I've run into this problem trying to make a name for myself in Rocket League.

I started with COD 2, loved that game, when quick sniping was invented. Cod 3 wasn’t as good, more about large scale battles. Modern warfare was awesome played that one a lot. Got deployed for world at war, I was 22 at the time. Mw2 came out not long after I got back, use to play at the community center on base and we had a good 4 person team. We dedicated ourselves for like 6 months and played in a search and destroy tournament at a Gameshop, we won South Dakota, had to play New York and we lost, they had this stupid rule that you couldn’t be in one spot for more than 30 seconds. So our ref at the gameshop enforced the rule on us, but in New York they didn’t. Our ref called them up and was like what’s the deal. He said that’s a stupid rule and the win counts. I got deployed again a few months later and never really picked it up again. I played a little bit of the new ones but it was nothing compared to the 37 days of gameplay I had on MW2.

Back in the Mw3 days my friend and I would grind the 2v2 playlist. Erosion and Snd 24/7. We still have to keep going on our record, but we are at 126-0. Repetition in practice does wonders.

I think Halo 2 and 3 just made me naturally good at cod.

In other words if your like 21 years old trying to go pro in cod you better ask the college you dropped out of to let you back in and pray they say yes lol rip

being a PRO is really hard to get .. why? because its game. everything can go right or sometimes wrong . basically you never known what can happen . its to much frustration .

Man I feel this . I smacked up 6 MLG gamers on black ops 1 in a 1v1 match. 6 in a row none got more than 9 kills on me. We were god's of quickscoping back then. If I had of kept playing it would of been a big difference. I hadn't played another cod until black ops 4 😔 . Personal problems etc. And only now I'm finding my sniping again . It definitely ain't easy . Just wish I stuck at is .

I played Finest Hour on the Gamecube, played SnD all day on CoD 2, Had a ton of fun playing CTF Poisson on CoD 3, played hardcore SnD on CoD 4, played SnD pubs on CoD WaW, Loved Mw2 (played with a bunch of friends Im still friends with today), blah blah started GBs on BO2, never played Ghosts, overplayed BO3, IW made me want to hang myself etc etc Now today I'm in my first year of University playing GBs every now and then but school is my priority now

I gave up going pro after not being able to team up with anyone on black ops 3. I played ranked with this guy named 2pacThugLord at the time and didn’t even know he was a streamer until I saw him stream with nadeshot once lol then we played some GBs together and shit and then he started playin with these other streams who honestly weren’t as good as me and the other guys he played with but just had more clout then I try and carry my friends in GBs and only get so far. I beat a few top 100 teams with them but I had to carry so hard. Had to even 4v1 for it to go to last round just so we could still loose regardless lol it was really hard for me to find a team but every team I found would be like dam to you really good team up with us and I would then realize they are ass too after a few GBs. So now I just play for fun lol still got it a bit but ehhh. Feel I could of really gone pro since black ops 3 was only my second cod actually trying my balls off to be good and I played with a few streamers, was top on the ranked leaderboards every season and even played against like two actual pro players, teepee and Clayster.

Been playing since cod 4 always thought I could go pro but didn’t want my friends and shit to judge me lol. I just stick to wagers now and play with my real life friends. I couldn’t keep up considering I wanted to have an actual social life. Plus my teammates were always holding me back in my opinion but they were my real life friends and I couldn’t just ditch them for better online kids

Lets just say I am doing fine and you can have your opinion. I respect it. But I am goingat it to respect the grind of a CoD player like a LoL or CS player and as well as a NASCAR driver who drives for over 4 hours in many degrees of heat making sure cars don't break down or crashes. I have talent at all cods my team gave up the grind but I was still determined and knew I could become pro I stuck with it. So I stuck with it and kept playing, ended up not playing ghosts, IW or AW, I started back up when cod4 remastered and I’m still good af, I JUST NEED TEAMMATES.
