To me, this song is about how when you become frustrated and lost in the world, you start to see the faults in others all to easily. But when you come back to your senses, and realize you aren’t perfect at all yourself, you “find” yourself again, and feel regret toward those who you wrongly felt hatred towards.
That's one way to take the meaning , but the real meaning is a warning to the far right stating that if you believe in basic biology or some scientific facts like there are only 2 genders , you'll be canceled off the internet and possibly fired from your job for being a n_az%zzzzz-^zzi , and not the good Ukrainian azoz na-z#zzz-zzis but the bad Russian ones.
Everytime I feel sad af, I just return to this song to heal or at least manage my internal suffering. Thank you Radiohead, you`ve saved my life more than once.

Cyberpunk2077 took me here for some reason and I clicked on it on a whim. Now that you mention it I do recognize it from Invincible but I didn’t really care for it then because it just felt like just a popular insert song for a montage and didn’t really work in context.

My favorite musician said this is his favorite song. He said he was going through hard times and this album spoke to him. I came straight here. I'm going through some of the worst times I've ever dealt with. I'm going to give radiohead a shot.

I think it's about how he used to get annoyed by really pointless things on people, like "talking in maths" or "hitler hairdo". "This is what you get when you messing with us" is said to him by those people, cause at the end "he lost himself", karma got him. Even at the end of the official video, his car is set on the fire by man he had tried to kill. But who knows, everyone can have their own meaning of the song :)

I feel like this song talks about how everybody sets a standard for themselves that they feel comfortable in. But when people try to do something more different and unique, they are weirded out and try to make their actions seem bad and evil.

Ok.. I must be stupid. I've listened to this song for years and years and years.. Known all the lyrics correctly. But at the end, I always thought he said; "If I want anything, I'll ask myself" What he really says completely changes the dynamic of this song for me.
