Brilliant record. Intense, heavy on the blasts, yet rife with French harmonies and great hooks throughout. Celebrating traditional black metal elements while crafting a uniquely distinct sound. The best black metal record I have discovered in recent months.

Délétère is definitely worth checking. They're not identical, but from my perspective they have a very similar cool vibe, aggressive and melodic. Although you might not like the questionable "weeping" vocals, but they surely add to the atmosphere of the album.
Does Karne mean anything in some language? I know in spanish Carne can mean Flesh or Meat, but I'm not sure if that's the meaning this band is using. They do have an album called Faith in Flesh, so that's something?
You're right, Karne is about the flesh. Even in french "carne" is a prefixe about the meat ("carnivore"/"carnassier", etc.). It's the same idea about the title "Faith in Flesh", it's about the superiority of the body over the soul, physical pain and stuff like that. By the way, thanks for you interest!
