Roosterbrood (or braaibrood, as it is called locally), is part of the Northern Cape's eating culture. As a child I would regularly play with my friends on the farm and at lunch I would often sit with them and enjoy this soul food at their parents' home with the family. This food is normally eaten piece-by-piece and is normally so tasty that you end up eating the one bread after the other. Join me on this journey to my childhood, wher Bet teaches us how traditional roosterkoek is made from scratch to perfection. Easy, simple and simply unforgettable. 2.5kg cake flour
1 pack instant yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 liter water
