i'm a little confused, this is the J Rocc of stones throw right? not the J Rock from Kendrick's entourage. Edit: Sorry, i commented too fast. he picked up a SUn Ra 45.
Good picks and good to see somebody take a risk on an album based on the cover. Good analysis by looking at the album's origin, date, sideman, and label. More often than not I can tell what album will sound like before opening but sometimes I'm surprised.
Hey guys, the footage you used to show who Philly Jo Jones is, is actually Papa Jo Jones (or just Jo Jones). I completely understand de confusion there ;) Anyways, great episode.
Yeah, we caught the error too late, and can't fix it in a posted video now. Thanks for the heads up though. Let us know anytime you catch a goof on our part. We want to know, and it helps anyone reading the comments get straightened out.
Used the wrong Joe Jones when he's talking about Philly Joe Jones. The video used is of Papa Jo Jones, who is a totally different drummer. No disrespect, love these videos, just pointing out.
I won't sit through most of this series either because I don't like the artist, or I'll just check the description and see their picks and I'll bow out. This was particularly bad
