Karting Champion Teaches Me How To Go Quick! Thanks to Daytona and their tuition programme which you can find here: www.daytona.co.uk/venues/sand... Thank you Daytona Karting for
Ollie made up 2-3 seconds with two hours tuition and practice. One (as others have mentioned) is weight, the other is skill that mere mortals don't have. Karting is a lot less risky than a normal track day where you have you whole car at risk, and then there are other factors like tyres, weather/temperature and setup. When I was track driving, two seconds was available, but the concrete walls also claimed a few victims - and while I have dented my Supra a few times, it is far too valuable to risk just for a few seconds faster lap time.
