one time i was here i got shoved into the wall on the exit of the fast corner by pit exit which hurt enough as it was. the race was red flagged but 20 seconds later some nutter was taking the track full speed and hit me head on at top speed haha wasnt delightful had whiplash for a few days after that one

If you loved Birmingham, DO NOT, go to Teamsport Lancing if you havent. The track is terribly bumpy, a couple corners like Birmingham but worse, and the dirtiest drivers ive raced against.

Quick question, have you ever raced in teamsport Preston? I heard they updated the track and got some new epectric karts. Would love to see you go there!

I haven't been to Preston yet, although I'd like to, even if just by myself. We are a little limited in just how far we can go, because these races tend to take place at 8AM and we have to travel there. But I would like to visit Preston and other tracks over time!

@@PericoKartingT'was the track I started karting at in 2019, I live up in Liverpool, however my dad is down in Bristol. It's a very technical and challenging track. Some elements similar to teamsport sheffield too

Thank you dude! I use a GoPro Hero 10 on a chin mount, recording in 2k, 60fps with the Superwide option on. Also, maximum image stability, it gets bumpy out there on the track 😅

Some times your decisions when overtaking is rubbish as you smash in to the back of them and when someone is on your inside don’t turn in on them as it’s dirty even if it works

In my opinion, in Go-Kart racing there should be bumping to help other drivers to close up and draft on them. This is coming from a NASCAR fan.

Inevitable contact will happen in rental karting but it's not advised to purposefully do it. There's still danger in it, look up the Teamsport Basildon accident that happened a couple months ago and you'll see why. As for actual competitive karting, they often don't have that protective barrier around the wheels, and we all know that collisions with open wheel vehicles never end well.

@@PericoKarting I didn't look it up but I know why now, it makes more sense for Go-Karts to not push because they are opened up but NASCAR is closed up.

Nope, go karts push all of the time. Just not at indoor tracks, as they are too slow to really get much benefit. On outdoor tracks with longer straights you will see karts in lines of 2-5 drivers just pushing each other along to try and catch the car/pack of cars ahead of them. @@nontoxicchaseelliottfan9

What was the fastest lap you set all race? My fastest ever there is 44.928 and wanted to see how i compare to someone who goes to many different tracks like you.

Mine? A 46.656. I'm still a slowpoke, I've only been doing karting as a proper hobby since last October 😅 I do want to go back and just try to hotlap, I was slowing myself down here by A) driving defensive and B) I kept messing up the chicane

Fair enough. 46s are good round there especially with how you were driving and the time youve been karting. In a normal race all i'd say is try make it smooth through the chicane without sliding and on the top section with the double hairpin stick close to the inside on the first one as it gains you a bit of time. I struggled to ecen get 46s until about 4 months into going here so yeah... 😂

Looks like there was a lot of contact throughout that race. Ryan should have punted you if you were chopping him, if he were quicker he'd only have to do it once.
