It's really exciting watching Zenobia games get developed and published! I'll be following this one closely. Thanks for covering it, Fred. Sherria is a very compelling speaker. Thank you also for engaging with Flanagan's writing: not something I see very often on board game RU-vid. I have also struggled with this idea: that sure, I can increasingly buy and advocate for games designed by and depicting women of colour, but then, what: am I bringing them to tables dominated by white men already deep into the board gaming hobby? But I am grateful that different kinds of games and different designers are starting to proliferate, one way or another.
Thanks Spen, I also like to follow-up on the Zenobia contestants. I have some plans for other interviews once other release will be announced. Did you see we made a video with Mary Flanagan?
This channel, slowly but surely, develops into my favourite channel about boardgames! I loved the interview very much. The questions were great and the answers even more so! I'm looking forward to the how-to-play video with Mrs. Ayuandini.
@@HomoLudens1871 You might actually already be there! What your channel has achieved is make me think about what I want from a YT board game channel. The depth of field of your videos, your love and interest for historic details and the seriousness and thoroughness you conduct your interviews with (along with the themes of the vids) are really wonderful! The gameplay videos offer great insights into how to play the games on different levels (from rules to tactics and overall strategy), and if the game desigener/developer is present, it's really a blast! These videos often are very long (compared to most other board game content creators on YT), but they are worth watching every single minute.
Do not quite understand the she/her label ? Seems obvious. A very nice discussion to watch, and Kartini looks not just interesting in what it tries to say, as well is also beautiful on the table.
I think it's a matter of etiquette in a lot of spaces in the anglo-saxon world. It never hurts to be polite. And yes, fascinating game, looking forward to have Sherria back for a teach and play when her game is out.
