Lord Krishna, a central figure in Hindu mythology, is often depicted with blue skin. The blue color of Krishna's skin is traditionally explained in several ways: Divine symbolism: Blue is associated with the divine and the infinite in Hinduism. It represents the boundless sky and the limitless ocean, symbolizing Krishna's transcendental nature as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, one of the principal deities in Hinduism. Legends: There are many legends and stories in Hindu mythology that explain the origin of Krishna's blue skin. One popular story involves his encounter with a demoness named Putana. When she tried to breastfeed him with poisoned milk, Krishna sucked the life out of her, turning his skin blue in the process. Cultural symbolism: The color blue is also associated with love and the emotions of the heart in Hindu culture. Krishna is often depicted as a charming and romantic figure, and the blue skin is sometimes seen as a symbol of the depth of his love for his devotees.
