yes, udit narayan is a great singer but he is also pretty soft on his critique. don't even try to argue on that one. udit narayan is more worried about whether his hindi is going to make sense rather than what flaws there were in singing. as for javed akhtar..he's a writer...not a singer. you honestly want to hear javed akhtar sing?
SO? there was still javed akhtar and udit narayan, i mean they're more experienced too..so idk..i can't really say about indian idol 1 and 2 seasons cuz i didnt' really like it that much then..
rahul is also good so i stand corrected there. regardless though, karunya is one of the few people to never ever get a negative mark from the judges in indian idol. keep in mind that sonu nigam was judging his contest. sandeep was garbage compared to karunya and did not deserve to win. amit and emon have potential but again are not any where near karunya's level...which is why they did receive negative marks from judges in the series and sonu wasn't even there.
at his level of expertise as a lyricist, any artist will have the necessary feel for other art forms to comment and criticize other BUDDING artists. Remember, Cricket coaches dont play, but they have the knowledge and maturity to coach and train players. So please keep your comments to yourselves. Now if you say the same about Farah Khan, tht is a different story.
this is not a cricket match but a singing competition. cricket coaches follow rules of the game but still won't be able to throw a ball 90 mph...which is why they don't comment on how fast or slow some other baller is bowling. they stick to things like whether someone bowled within the rules of the game. come at me with better arguments than this and also, maybe you should keep your comments to yourself instead if you have so much trouble adhering to the rules of english grammar.
he is a good singer but did somebody realise when he is coming to perform this song he is puting his hand in his pocket and taking out and throwing something ...3 times he is doing that....watch from 0.22 to 33...it looks something like for his luck....
but to be a writer and decide the surs in which the songs r gonna be, u need to know about singing, and yes he does sing..i've heard him long time ago..but yeah im not saying sonu's not good, he's prob one of the best judges..but still..anyways..

i like his singing.. though its pretty ordinary.. u can find many ppl better than him in the streets of kerala.. guys watch out for idea star singer , see also the judges how strict and how much imp they give tio musical intracacies.. in this sning of karunya they wud find 25 errors..
really? so why does anu malik get so much slack for being a judge on american idol? he's a music director which is a lot more relevant in judging a singing competition than being a lyricist. you know why people still hate anu? because he calls people out on singing mistakes while he has so many mistakes in his own singing. now if javed akhtar wrote songs for a living, does that give him such a profound knowledge of sur and taal that he can comment on these 'budding' artists training for years?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! are you kidding me? all of the indian idol 4 singers are complete amateurs and their singing level shows that. karunya, amey date and abhijeet sawant have been the only really good singers to come out of indian idol.
