Karyn Kupcinet was found murdered on Thanksgiving Weekend of 1963.
Her body was discovered by Lost in Space star Mark Goddard.
Daughter of famed Chicago Columnist Irv Kupcinet, it is said that she might be involved with the assassination of JFK. "THE PRESIDENT IS GOING TO BE KILLED!"
Actor Andrew Prine was the suspect, long thought to be guilty.

@kennethcurtis1856

There isn't justice for her. How can there be? She was murdered. Our justice system isn't designed to bring justice to the victim. It is designed to make it extremely difficult for the State to convict a person of a crime. That is why Due Process is so very fundamental to people accused of crimes.

@donaldduncan7095 That is an excellent observation that a decedent with any type of body dysmorphia would likely be clothed. One thing re: an individuals state of dress when they make their attempt. There are a whole lot of situational factors that come into play. Religiosity and/or the desire to not "leave a mess" can influence a person's decision to be clothed or not. Without writing an entire thesis here, if a person enters water, unclothed, in public, acting fast is of necessity. Generally, those individuals will put enough space between themselves and anyone else in the vicinity. I should probably clarify that due to my proximity to several large bodies of water and an international set of waterfalls (cough Niagara cough), this type is far more common than, say, in the Midwest. But yes, regarding religiosity, some people equate the event to either baptism, being made clean by water, or birth/rebirth because they are going out of the world the way they came in. (Hopefully, that makes sense. I'm about to fall asleep.) Oh! I was also completely unfamiliar with this case.

I’m a medical professional. Scott, you did REALLY well with your pronunciation of medical terminology. The hyoid bone can only be broken (as a rule of thumb) by manual strangulation. Even a ligature wouldn’t break it. The ligature would have to be really strong at depth and thick to cause such a trauma. It would need to be broken by such a depth not created by anything other than a humans hands. Think Shannon Watts, her hyoid bone was broken so badly by C Watts xxx The fact that she was in advanced stages of decomposition could also point to (just a theory) someone placing her on the couch days after her death, however if any liquification, skin and other body fluids were found inside the couch hints that she probably died there. Hope this helps a little ❤❤❤

My 14 year old daughter danced with the Oregon Ballet Theatre for years. A new teacher from Cuba was hired. She would duct tape girls mouths shut so they couldn't eat or drink water. She kept telling my 6' 110 lb daughter she was too fat, then made her get on her knees to apologize for some minor incident. I had no idea this was happening. I finally convinced my daughter to tell me what was going on. I was LIVID and marched into the ballet class and said if they didn't talk to me now...I'd call the police and report child abuse now. They got rid of that HORRIBLE WOMAN TEACHER...things changed and she was in ballet for many years. Well, someone strangled her, and covered her mouth. You can deduce this from the autopsy findings. The damage to her mouth, and the hyoid bone. Did the autopsy findings say she had petechiae? It’s the blood vessels breaking from pressure around the eye. This too is a good indicator of strangulation. Someone definitely wanted her dead, and I can’t imagine how frightened she must have been. Terrible. Poor girl.

There was some mention of the sclera, the whites of the eye. But I don’t recall the word petechiae.

When I was a kid, Kup could be found at the Billy Goat Tavern with his drinking buddies Jack Brickhouse & Mike Royko. Sometimes I would see him at the Drake Hotel, usually around the holidays. He was always willing to stop and chat - usually about the Bears or Cubs woes.....

Subscribed! Love the care & realistic discussions of these cases. Even having difficultly pronouncing names, no fancy editing, really makes me appreciate your channel & the uniqueness of how RU-vid should be. Thank you both for being an interesting, engaging & informative channel. Being kind to the victims and having respect for the dead is refreshing as well. Sending aloha & excited to see your channel grow!

HEIGHT/ WEIGHT FIGURES DON’T MATTER- BODY SHAMING IS ALWAYS WRONG. No need for people to defend themselves with height/weight figures to prove that boding shaming discrimination is wrong. Discriminating against people on account of their bodies is wrong. Period. So sad she had to go through judgement during her life.

I have never heard about this story. Prayers for her and her family. She was very pretty. Love your channel always. On a side note, your documentary 6 degrees of Helter Skelter is in my top 3 favorite documentaries about Manson and his victims. It was a different way of approaching the subject which I loved. I learned a lot I didn't know beforehand. I can't wait for you to open another museum. I will definitely make the trip to see it.

I saw Irv Kupcinet about a year or two before he passed...early 2000s. Coincidentally about the time I started following the old FindADeath site, lol! I was walking on State St. in downtown Chicago and he was being pushed by an assistant in a wheelchair down the sidewalk. He was dressed nicely in a sport coat and had those big tinted glasses..really unmistakable, but he looked pretty unwell. I never knew the full story about what happened to Karyn...just awful and sad. Thanks for sharing her story, Scott.

Fascinating presentation. Well done. Author Mark Shaw has written two books on the murder of Dorothy Kilgallen ("The reporter who knew too much", and "Fighting for Justice"). Also, you might want to read the works of James Fetzer on the JFK murder. These sources may help give more perspective to Karyn's death .
@curbozerboomer1773
@curbozerboomer1773 9 дней назад
Those sources are full of speculation, not facts. Read "Reclaiming History"-by the late Vincent Bugliosi, a very accomplished LA prosecutor...the guy who put Manson away. His 1700 page analysis of the death of JFK answers all questions-if you really want to know. He found 15 pieces of Hard Evidence, and 34 pieces of incriminating evidence, against Oswald. End of story.

Thanks for posting. This poor woman deserved the dignity of the well-meaning amongst us, the public, understanding the depression and hurt, the mental struggles, so that if any one of us can rescue just ONE poor soul from a lonely death from the hurt of depression....then this sad story will have been worth it.

I think she was absolutely beautiful. Acting was very natural from what I’ve seen. It’s so sad that she felt she had to be so hung up on a man that she was willing to ruin hers. Such a tragic story.

RIP Karyn🌹How sad this hasn’t been solved and her family never got Justice. In today’s strangulation cases there is a way to get fingerprints & skin cells for dna testing on the surface of the decedents throat in certain cases. It’s a shame with todays forensics this case might have been solved. Thank you Scott,I do remember that someone had said the president was shot a day before he was , I just never knew the whole story.
