Actress and social advocate Karyn Parsons stopped by VladTV for an exclusive interview detailing her childhood and upbringing in Santa Monica, California. She discusses being kicked out of her theater arts program in high school as a freshman and the steps she took to pursue her dream despite that. She also talks about auditioning for the iconic role of Hilary Banks in front of Quincy Jones, and what that process was like. Watch above.

Nope. I looked it up.She was born in 1966. She'll be 51 in October. Essence Atkins was 25 when she started smart guy. Sometimes actors play older or younger characters than they're actual age and vice versa.
