The purpose of your message seems to discourage and stop the people of a religion from sacrifing animals on their festival, which has been practiced for centuries to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Abraham's act of obedience at the command of Allah to slaughter his son. The moment the prophet tried to wield the knife, it stopped working. Then immediately, an angel, at the order of Allah, replaced his son with a goat, which has become a ritual ever since and will be reiterated till the end of time. Therefore, I would request that you please refrain from interfering with one's religious beliefs and calling them bigots too. The horrendous cruelty to animals is considered when they are killed by humans. It has nothing to do with the sacrificing or slaughtering of particularly halal (lawful) animals. If that were the case, the Almighty Allah would have ordained His servants not to consume meats of any kind, like pork, beasts, and other hunting birds. (Reply to Barkrish)
Festival of renunciation has turned into a festival of cruelty distress and suffering for poor animals where as in certain families who visit Gaya and pay obeisance to their ancestors and give up some food which they love and for the rest of their life .This should have been the Quranic injunction but some bigot made it otherwise .Even in India some sects practised this horrendous slaughter reformed by replacing the animal with a cocoanut .

@@muhammadanees3461 This is what has been emphasised but the spirit of renunciation has been lost .This was a practice also a tradition in India .Your own people are horrified after the sacrifice at the carcass and the river of blood which pollutes the street and makes people repulse against this filth and no steps are maintained to clean the mess .Not to be judgemental but only a suggesting a reform .of the ritual . @@barkrish Your suggestion for the disposal of the rumens (not the carcasses) and the washing of blood or its stains from the streets of the sacrificed animals to maintain a pollution-free atmosphere and tidiness is valid. I don't know about the Indian authorities, but here in Pakistan, the local municipalities have clear orders for the slaughterers to sacrifice the animals indoors: put the rumens (ojhris) in plastic bags to keep them outside their houses for the municipal trucks for their collection or dump them in the garbage trolleys placed on the stipulated points. The advice of renunciation on religious and obligatory rituals is tantamount to turning someone away from religion, which no Muslim can even imagine. It is a different thing that, in this era of inflation, he is not able to carry out this duty due to compulsion.
