Later in they got help from tribal leaders. On the other side Patiala abd Sikh princely state helped Hari Singh. In any case after India ran to UN Kashmir is disputed territory.

Lt Gen (Retd) Naeem seems to forget the military history of Pakistan which fought 4 wars with India and lost all of them, shows a losing streak and they also lost half their territory. After Kargil, Pakistan ran to the USA and begged President Clinton to intervene. Pakistan became an unreliable state. He talks of taking a second look at their Foreign policy. It is impossible for them.

Pakistan Army no longer considers India is an enemy state & there is ceasefire on Line of Control since 2002. India is too powerful for Pakistan army to fight. It has declared Afghanistan as its enemy number 1. Though the enmity with Afghanistan was the continuation of British Colonial army occupation.

Shayan I am surprised that you fell hook, line n sinker to the General !!!! Where were the tough questions ? If an interview is to have value , then ask the unpleasant questions , dig below the sheen. Protection and hedge needed by Pak as it has had Very big neighbour. Partly may be correct but not so as there was lurking feeling to overpower India and other neighbours. This Pak feeling was befitting to hegemonic powers.And they used Pak by both money and weapons. Pak policy has always been short sighted and that power acquisition inflated ego and led it astray.
