Watching this video of the Kashmir Great Lakes is like revisiting a cherished chapter of my life. I had the pleasure of exploring this mesmerizing region with Orange Jacket Adventures, and it remains one of the most remarkable journeys I've ever embarked upon. As I watch this footage now, I can't help but long for the peace and tranquility I felt during that unforgettable trip."

Is head torch is that much important. Why? Can we adjust with a mobile torch
@travelinsoldier6886
@travelinsoldier6886 2 года назад
No man head torch or hand carrying torch is essential during trekking there are no streetlights or LED bulbs on mountain during night the only thing you have is your torch so when you want to go to toilet, night walk, and obviously inside tent you must need light to see and people don't carry extra lights to give others the reason I prefer head torch is it can be worn on head so during toilet and other things your hands stay free and it's cheaper may be 299 from decathlon the basic one
@travelinsoldier6886
@travelinsoldier6886 2 года назад
Plus avoid using mobile phones on high altitude treks coz battery drains fast at that altitude and cold and you have your power bank only so if you try mobile torch then chances are there you won't able to shoot videos photos and people don't share powerbank easily on mountains

@travelinsoldier6886
@travelinsoldier6886 2 года назад
If it wasn't severe covid like pneumonia something than no problem coz altitude is not that high but distance is long and if you are trekking with backpack then body pushes more so if you want you can opt for mules service from agency

What is your opinion on doing kgl in October? Its a great video much in detail.
@travelinsoldier6886
@travelinsoldier6886 3 года назад
Well there is no problem in October. It's just sudden raining that creates problem. In the vlog I have mentioned about Gadsar Pass so in order to complete the trek you must have to cross that. Usually agencies keep 1 extra day just in case you won't able to cross pass due to rain. So if you are lucky then no issue at all.

Bro I am traveling July 22nd, I did kedharkantha trek, so hope it is bit easier than that, here altitude problem will not be thereas leh n ladak, one more thing wanted to ask u, is it the only way, where u guys cross the river on a small stone path, which is really scary
@travelinsoldier6886
@travelinsoldier6886 2 года назад
The thing is you did only Kedarkantha where there is no river crossing and the river we crossed is not that scary i mean it may look for the first timer but guide will help you in that you can see in the video he helped that girl to cross it and it's not easy coz it's a long trek so work on endurance

Thanks a ton for the wonderful video.. Sry for the long list question.. much appreciated 🙇 a. how did u book cab to sonmarg? any contacts? b. Things that u must carry & things to avoid c. Is it better to get Walking b4 coming or better buy it from srinagar d. I'm planning to take cab/bus kangan market (way down from Narnag) on the last day instead of travelling all the way sonmarg.. Is that possible??
@travelinsoldier6886
@travelinsoldier6886 2 года назад
Cab or traveller was already provided by agency for sonamarg and from narnag if you want to take some other cab so better to talk with agency first. Things that must carry hmm basically all basic things that we need on trek don't forget poncho rain cover for rucksack good shoe coz trail is hard and obviously head torch imp very much Buy trekpole before I didn't see any shop there may be you get costly better to buy from decathlon or Wildcraft You can ask many questions no problem

It will be difficult to assume coz everyone's tolerating cold temperature is different you may not feel that much cold in 10 degree but may be I feel. But still for safer side carry 1 thermal 1 fleece and 1 main down jacket
