This song really made me feel emotional. Starset is probably one of my favorite bands of all, and Kashmir was my dad's favorite song. In some days it will be one year since my father passed away. This song reminds me a lot to him, and I would really loved to show this to him. Until this day I still miss him a lot, and I'm really happy that Starset launched this cover, because it reminds me a lot to him.
@@twinturbov8 - his screams in Vessels and Transmissions will forever be priceless. Divisions was a calmer version of the band which I love so much. I hope they get more aggressive in the next album again. I'd love to hear Dustin being edgy heh

I first heard this in Sacramento in 2019 right before COVID and all I can say is god damn Dustin's voice has come a hell of a long way since his days in Downplay.
If his voice NOW has come along way...can't imagine what that would sound like...THIS IS BAD. First time even hearing of this band (via Blabbermouth) but the singer is lame and tone deaf.
I wish STARSET would do covers of Downplay songs. They had some songs that I love but would be much better now since everyone has improved, including the guitarists

Starset never ceases to amaze me. Saw them perform this song live in Columbus and was very impressed! Wasn't too sure about them recording classic Zeppelin, but consider me wow'd (especially after the 4 minute mark). Starset is such a unique band with unique vocals. I also really love that they have very talented female violinist and cellist in their crew. Thanks for sharing this Twin Turbo V8.
Man you are lucky, not only is Starset my favorite band but Dustin is genuine and after talking to him several times by booking the smallest shows on the acoustic tours and VIP events I like him as a person not a celebrity. Recent shows have been to busy to talk to him other than to say hi. I'm the guy that hounded all the band to check out Smash Into Pieces and during the AE Acoustic tour because they have an eerily similar lore storyline and complimentary music style. I was shocked when they announced the tour and I got to see my favorite bands play together.
Starset and Smash Into Pieces have a similar message and incorporated it into a music, reading, and video experience where each piece skillfully links together for an experience worthy of a hit TV show that normally has credits a mile long. Both bands created the entire experience with a small dedicated group envisioning and working on each aspect simultaneously which is unheard of. This unique blending of my favorite type of music and movies and experiences that gave me a personal connection to their themes I dug into the lore and community.
I was surprised there weren't many crossover fans but noticed most people in the online Smash community where in Europe and most Starset in North America. Anyone who knew both bands or looked them up after I recommend was an instant fan and still haven't found someone who likes one but not the other. I think if they increase their collaborations in the future they will both increase exposure and fan base and wanted to pass my observations to Dustin and maybe he will notice the same band chemistry I did and some day we could see song collaborations and maybe even a Starset and Smash Universe crossover video. 😉
It's unsurprising to me that Starset would cover this song as it fits somewhat into their theme. Take the line in the first verse "I'm a traveler of both time and space...". Still, this is a masterful cover.
I wasnt sure how i was going to feel about this cover. Kashmir is my absolute favorite Led Zepplin song and one of my all time favorites. I have to say this cover was really really good. Very impressed. Great job @Starset.

I got very lucky and managed to hear them play this in mid February 2020 in London right before everything got shut down. This helps me relive that experience, thank you uploader 🙌
I saw them perform this live in Reading, PA, on the Divisions Tour and it was incredible! The crowd just went into a frenzy when they did this out of nowhere!
Decided to just go ahead and buy it on Amazon. Fortunately, they let you do it without needing a Prime account. I'm guessing this cover will be included on a Divisions re-release if that ever happens (along with the remixes of Trials and Waking Up).
I love how I have a prime account I'd presumably be paying for if it wasn't a student trial, and yet I can't access this song with my screen off via amazon music cause it requires another separate subscription to specifically music unlimited. Friggin hate megacorporations
